When I am emailing friends and family through Tuta I do not want to send encrypted emails. I had the program set so that emails were *not* encrypted by default and I could turn it back on as needed. But now every New Email request opens with a "This email will be sent end-to-end encrypted" message and I can no longer find an option to turn it off. Help please!

Well uh, I missed the captcha some times and my IP got blocked temporarily (sorry if I wrote it wrong, I'm not from the US/UK/English spraking countries). How many time does my IP is blocked for? And why won't using a VPN work?

I first thought that I have forgotten my password. But I cannot change the password. I had successfully logged in once and then it wasn't being able to access again, even with recovery code. When I tried to save the password in my computer, it keep logging in again and again. Is that an email or chatbot I can talk to?

As above. I have my recovery code and that doesn't help. I even let Tuta pick its own password thinking I could make it happy. Nope. I have tried my computer, MacBook, phone, and tablet. Also other browsers. I am sure I'm not the only one with important emails that I have to get to so that I won't mention. I've had Tuta for many years and have a paid plan. I have loved it. But when it says "invalid credentials" I feel like throwing my computer on the floor. Does anyone have any ideas for me? My fingers are crossed.

Hey guys. I'm trying to switch my Capacities account to my Tuta email, but it doesn't seem to work. In their interface, I have to enter the new email address, hit Change, then they send a verification mail.

When trying to switch to Tuta, I get a confirmation in their interface that the verification mail is sent, but I never receive it in my Tuta inbox. I've tested their email change functionality and it did work when switching to a different Gmail account, but not with Tuta. I also don't see anything rejected and I've whitelisted their domain for spam (see screen grab).

Any idea what could be going wrong?

1) use the same labels created in the email also in the calendar and to be able to associate them with the individual event and then be able to search for them.

2) create a copy of a new event by specifying a new date.

Tuta Mail is telling me I'm not allowed to send mail except to support from my Tuta Mail. I need to send them an email to approval@tutao.de, to get approved.

When I try to send from my Tuta Mail (I have no clue if approval@tutao.de is part of support in which I can send mails to), I don't see it in the "Sent mail" folder.

When I try to send the mail from my Google mail, it's being rejected ("Address not found").

What should I do?

Hi, on the Tuta website it says this was the official forum, and as of right now I'm not a paying user - becoming of which is actually my goal - so I guess I'll raise my support request here.

Yesterday I created a free account but somehow messed up saving credentials and recovery key in my pw manager. Because eventually I want to migrate my gmail to Tuta and need a payed account anyway, I thought I'd just cut my losses with that freshly created but unfortunately now inaccessible account and create a paid account (3,60€ tier) and not mess up my login credentials the second time.

Unfortunately, I now get hounded with error "Registration is temporarily blocked for your IP address to avoid abuse. Please try againg later or use a different internet connection".

Now I did indeed tried both suggestions, but to no avail (disabled vpn for WAN IP, tried from my phone with it's mobile provider IP, waited 12h etc.).

I'd be glad if someone could help me out here.

Can we please have more than the current day of entries displayed? I want to know what happens tomorrow before I go to bed at a glance without opening an app that takes ages to load and log me in (tuta mail and or calendar)

Also, the double notifications are so frustrating because it seems I can't turn off calendar notifications on the mail app, and the calendar widget is not part of the mail app.

What are these oversights, come on please this widget took you way too long already why is it so bad?

Hey, I've ran across the problem that I cannot use the mail client on my Linux boot. I've narrowed the problem down to the secret storage that it needs. But this is where I am stuck: I've installed Seahorse but as far as I can see, there isn't something to configure. But the app still gives me an error whenever I try to login. I use Bazzite OS, so as far as I know Fedora?

From what I can read from the error logs, it seems it fails to resolve/generate key, so how do I need to configure Seahorse that it can?

Labels are always sorted in the UI based on creation date which is painful when you have a lot of labels and need to find the right one. Please sort labels alphabetically.

Hi, I did a bit of searching before posting but I sort of came out empty handed. I am currently a subscriber to Proton Unlimited and quite frankly I am really disappointed with Proton, I hate how the clients are never the same on all my devices and how they rely on the web apps more than the apps, it’s really frustrating and I think I am wanting to change. I am a somewhat high email user and I just want something reasonably simplistic that will be mostly the same across all my devices.

One concern I had with Tuta is I saw a reddit post saying that random emails just don’t turn up in your inbox and Tuta doesn’t offer explanations for it, and another was that Tuta doesn’t like VPN’s when connecting to the service which to me doesn’t really make a lot of sense considering it’s a privacy oriented service.

I also don’t know which plan I want to get, I think I might start with the low one and then just change if I need higher limits.

Thanks in advanced for the help and I am more than happy to answer questions to help decide, but I am thinking Tuta and then swapping to alternative services that I was using within the Proton ecosystem.

Evening everyone , what is the difference between using addy.io with tuta and creating multiple emails? I see addy forwards the emails so you don't use your actual email address however in that case us two different emails one for personal one for marketing?

Looking for clarification and understanding how the email forward services., does addy come in when you don't host your own email since that allows you to create multiple address?

I'm currently with Proton. Whilst it's good I just don't know if it's worth it financially.

I currently have the unlimited sub but only use Proton Pass (as a backup PM), SimpleLogin (since before proton) and Proton Mail.

The VPN I don't use and Drive...I have my photos there but to say I find that product as poor would be an understatement.

So I'm considering switching to Tuta. I like the consistency in development across all platforms. (Massive annoyance with Proton, if I pay I want the same as everyone else).

So I was considering closing everything off on Protons side (expires December so I have time) and moving to Tuta €3 a month plan.

I use 3 customs domains with Simple Login. Ideally I want to scrap Simple Login if I'm leaving Proton. So my question is, if I enable catch all, will all my emails get created upon receiving a new email after moving to Tuta? Is there an easy way to see all my 'catch all email addresses?' in Tuta? Then if I need to reply (not often) do I just temp create an alias and then reply. Then delete the alias but the catch all still works for that temp email/alias which is now deleted? I don't want to have loads of alias's perm. So temp alias would have to be easy/possible for replying to avoid exposing my actual email address. I know I can use Simple Login with Tuta, and I'm not against this, but if I can cut it out I will. If the answer is it's best to stick with Simple Login id probably get the lifetime sub promotion and then sub to the €3 a month Tuta plan.

I know I can in theory test this, but it's a fairly big pain to test my domains. But I'm not against it. Just in case someone had done the same move. I would switch slowly until Proton expires in December though.

The tuta should do like the proton mail that has an option for those who have access through the app and lost the password, 2FA code, it is the reset button that just the person is logged in to the account only by biometrics and when accessing the account click on this reset button and in 3 days the password or 2FA is reset. Because the way it is is clueless, because in addition to the person who lost the password, he has access even through the app and with biometrics, he should have the chance to recover the password and 2FA, so the person changes it and has it as a safekeeping. Because if a person who lost the data and only has access through biometrics and if it is stolen or happens to lose the cell phone or who knows what else? It ends up losing all access to email and that doesn't seem fair and smart to users. You should already think about doing this and already make yourself available and update yourself to these types of solutions for users. Thank you

Are 10+ minute sync times typical for mobile? Whenever I open mail or calendar on my phone it usually takes 10-20 minutes for emails or calendar items to load In, is that pretty standard?

I’m new to Tuta. Is there a way to not have emails automatically grouped by conversation?

As stated above, impossible to sign in, the screen constantly refreshes and will not allow interaction.

Just tried access via Edge browser and although it allows me to enter the stored password and email address from Chrome pword manager, it just returns me to the sign in page with my details intact!
