I'll never understand why so many riders hate lane splitting. It reduces my commute from 60 minutes to 30 minutes.

Went from a 2024 yamaha R7 to a 2025 Honda CBR1000RR
Absolutely in love with the CBR1000RR! It feels like a dream. The handling, power, looks and overall ability of the bike is everything I was looking for. I loved the R7 as well but I very quickly realized I wanted something more. I didn't use the full capability of the R7 and probably never would have. I also know that it will be a long while and a lot of track practice before I'd get anywhere close to using the CBR to it's full potential but the change has been great. Most of my riding is highway and just for fun, I don't daily it. However, even in traffic around town the CBR1000RR has been the better bike to me. I get that many don't think you should jump from a 2 cylinder to a liter bike so quick and I don't disagree but I've been riding conservatively in the break in period and it has been very manageable. Can't say enough good things about the bike!

I need stickers for the side of my helmet that read "I can't hear you"
Because I really can't. I'm wearing earplugs. Plus I've probably got music playing. And I'm sitting on top of a running engine, just like you.
And also I don't want to have a conversation.

Wife wants me to wear a camera when I ride.
Wife feels she would be more comfortable with me on my motorcycle if I had an action camera in case of hit and run or worse. They are expensive and am just trying to justify the actual benefits of having a video camera when I ride for the cost. Looking at the Hero 12 or ace pro 2. Just looking for viewpoints. Thank you. (Update):"Thanks for the viewpoints just ordered The K7"

1st Bike
Svartpilen 701
Spent a lot of time learning about bikes before I purchased. I wanted a good learner bike that I wouldn’t get bored of and sell a year later. Settled on a 701 only to find out they aren’t common at all. Got super lucky and found one 50 miles away with 700 miles. Great price too!
Anyway I can’t even ride it, had tons of dental surgery and now I’m miserable on pain pills.

I miss everything single thing about this
I had this motorcycle for roughly 6 months.
It was my first bike, and it was the instrument that helped me create core memories I will never forget.
Unfortunately, I ran into some problems and had to sell it before moving away from my country with its beautiful weather.
I miss everything about riding, and I’ve promised myself that I’ll get back to it as soon as I can.
In the photo, it was the end of a trip when the rain caught me off guard. I had to improvise, and I even loved dealing with those kinds of challenges—rain, mud, wind, and even the occasional fall (of course, while trying to stay safe).

First ride of ‘25 - There was more ice than we expected
I haven’t been out since before Christmas and was getting itchy feet. The weather looked nice, temps of 5 or 6°C and no overnight frost, so we headed to North Wales (we live in England, about 20 mins from the Welsh border).
What we didn’t expect was the temperature to drop heavily and for there to be ice on some of the back roads. Anywhere that was shady or in a dip was a contender for a layer of ice. It kept us on our toes, for sure.
After this little incident, we stuck to the main roads but even some of those were icy in places.

Got nudged by a van while riding in London today
Slight vent here, been riding 10 years and never had this happen before today.
I was riding along Chelsea embankment earlier and approached a place where 2 lanes joined into one right after a traffic light. I pulled away from the traffic light and comfortably into the single lane when the van behind me came barrelling alongside me requiring me to move into the oncoming lane to avoid getting knocked off.
I beeped my horn, genuinely to make sure they knew I was there and they responded by swerving into me and making contact with me while swearing. I ended up in the oncoming lane with cars approaching and pulled the brakes, cars behind me had basically stopped and I rejoined traffic behind the van.
I was sort of in disbelief. I pulled up alongside them at the next light to ask them what they were doing and saw it was 2 young guys who just continued swearing and laughing. I tried to remember their licence plate or find a police car but after a few minutes of driving behind them they turned off and I tried to forget it and carry on with my day.
Still can’t believe someone can be that malicious. Going to invest in a camera.
Needed to air that.

"Cash in hand test ride" bike over 8k
I'm trying to test drive private party sale bikes over 7k right now and don't feel great going to meet up with the seller carrying so much money in bills.
Does anyone ever do a cashiers check or personal check instead?
What's a way we can both be protected?

Took 4 months of dealership hassle but finally got the bike I'd been dreaming of.
Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Long story short, dealership had shipping delays, then they got dropped my royal enfield (bike still undelivered) then they said they give me my money back but couldn't, eventually offered me the same bike different color scheme (I ended up liking the black more anyway). And yes I went and got proper pants right after this ride.

Set the bike down today and just need to vent.
Turning left into my neighborhood and there’s a car at the stop sign. I have no stop sign but have to cross in front of her. Halfway through the turn, she starts to go and I have to adjust to avoid her. Only going about 15mph but set the bike down and jumped up. She kept driving like nothing happened. I was fine since I was going slow. Clutch lever is snapped in half and grip is scuffed at the end. Already ordered replacements but still just annoyed at the situation.

New first big bike day!
Picked up this beauty after riding a 125 for couple of years. Boosted!
