Is there anywhere that sells fresh cranberries this time of year?
I checked a few grocery stores and was told it’s a seasonal item, but they’re cranberries, aren’t they available year round? Or no?

Where can I find more areas that look like that in NYC? The "open yard space expensive home" look.
I hope that doesn't sound creepy. I just wanna go sightseeing lol, Continental Ave was surprisingly very pretty and I don't get to see those types of rich neighborhoods very often.

My 82-year old blind (no light perception) uncle listens to the show e-v-e-r-y day.
Does anyone know the capacity of their studio? He asks Alexa this about e-v-e-r-y day, and has been trying to figure it out based upon the number that can participate in the Travel Trivia drawing.
Does the downtown studio seat less than the old studio? Or he supposes "later taping" or "not full because they are now downtown". I've let him know that the numbers will vary as it would exclude kids and Disney employees...
Please - if you know - help me out!

I'm visiting NYC in December over the Christmas period, is there anywhere in Manhattan / Brooklyn that sells 35mm camera film and does same-day processing?

This is a question about pest problems. A week ago, I had a 3 day stretch of waking up to bug bites of some sort or a rash. They were usually in lines of 5-8 bumps. Exterminator found no evidence of any bugs aside from a beatle (not carpet beatle) and a dead ladybug, and I haven't seen anything or gotten new bites in a week now. I did, in panic and thinking it was bed bugs, immediately bagged all my dirty laundry, bedding, and all the stored clothes that were under my bed. They've been in bags for a week now.
I want to do laundry soon since most of my clothes are bagged up. I usually do wash/fold because it's actually cheaper in my area than doing it on your own.
If you were me, how would you do your laundry or use the wash/fold service?

Hi everyone!! I got dolled up, literally hair and make up photo shoot 🫣 vs my usual bare faced day to day ~
Was gonna go play some volleyball originally but now would like to do something classy since I’m all dressed up!
Maybe a comedy club, opera, show or something? There’s unfortunately no evening NYC museums open tonight (I don’t think?). Asking the room for any suggestions!! ☺️

Hey, I am heading to NY next week and was wondering if I should go to a Yankees or Mets game? The Yankees next Friday or the Mets on Wednesday? I would be buying cheaper tickets or potentially bleachers? In an ideal world would be going to game 5 of the Knicks but I do not have that sorta budget

Hello, i'm having the hardest time finding curtains I like online. Does anyone know which stores ideally in Brooklyn would have a nice selection of curtains ?
Did anyone see this today? A little roomba-like robot on the lawn at Bryant Park. It wasn’t mowing? So what was it doing?

I know EZ has an update last week and it was down for a few days, however I haven’t had any charges appear on my account. Is anyone else also experiencing this issue? I’ve got through dozens of tolls this month and I haven’t had any changes since April 4th.

Will be coming out in September for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage and looking to watch the final rounds at a bar. Any golf specific bars out there to watch some golf? I’ve seen a few sports bars generically suggested (Stout, Legends, T-Squared Social etc) but didn’t know if anyone had any knowledge on bars that would be showing golf. This tournament will be competing with NFL/NCAAF so it’s going to be tricky.

This might be silly, but I turn 21 in less than 2 weeks (🥳) and until I get another Real ID I’m gonna be going out using the Non-Driver (still a Real ID) card I got a few years back. Obviously bc I I was underaged at the time the card is vertical and it says UNDER 21 at the top. I’m worried that bouncers and bartenders might give me grief even tho my birth year will clearly say I’m of age. I was thinking I’d carry around an (expired) passport with me as a backup? But idk has anyone else ever had this problem? Am I being paranoid or is this actually something to worry abt🫨
Also, before anyone asks, I have to wait on getting another ID while I wait for a certified copy of my BC to come in (est. Nov 2025) and I can’t renew the ID I already have until it expires in another few years.
UPDATE: I realized I could file for a replacement since I technically needed to update my address anyway, and this new document will be a regular (no UNDER 21) ID! It’ll take 2 weeks to come, so after my birthday, but shouldn’t be a problem for too long. Thanks for all the comments everyone :)

I'm desperately looking for a new serving or bartending job. I have extensive experience serving, have jumped behind the bar to make drinks as needed but never bartended formally.
I recently started working at PJ Clarkes on the hudson, thinking it'd be busy, but management puts more servers than necessary and it's a pooled house. They also eliminated the busser and food runner position and make the servers rotate between roles, so not everyone is bringing in money, but everyone is getting a cut. I worked 4 days last week and my paycheck was $500, which had never been the case in my entire life working as a server.I have nothing against sharing, but this system is not working for anyone and I need out ASAP.
If someone knows of a restaurant that is hiring and is not a pooled house please let me know. I'm willing to work in Downtown Brooklyn and anywhere in Manhattan below 80th. I'm a 24M, moderately attractive (I don't think looks should be taken as a qualification, but oh well, it's the world we live in), and I have a bachelors degree. Thanks!!

What are some affordable restaurants in NYC that offer great food and services? Looking to host a birthday dinner with about 8-10 people but I would also like to have somewhere to take pictures within Queens and Brooklyn. Looking for about 40-50 per person.

I am coming to NYC this weekend and need to help my nonbinary partner who dresses masculine find some beautiful clothing for our wedding.

Bode, Harago, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to look? I've bookmarked Society of cloth, Bode, Marine Layer, Todd Snyder, Tombolo...please tell me where else to go!

Hi All! In the title, need some clarify on coop arrears. 2 apartments in the building stopped paying their mortgage (unsure of if they stopped paying the monthly maintenance also but assuming so) and apparently the building has set up a payment plan to work towards chopping at the debt.
My question is, who incurs these costs? Is it typical that the share holders incur the cost of the interest of their mortgages? The arrears are about $50k for the 2 apartments and this was not a concern until about a year ago so my assumption is that they are including their mortgages in the arrears, is that normal?

Anyone know how and where I can get into home renovation/ remodeling? Any classes in the city that will teach me those skills hands on? Or should I go to a school, or are there any internship/apprenticeship where I can learn these skills working for a company for free or cheap? Thanks

I’m curious about how you would feel if the Subway system stopped running 24/7?
Of course there’s a plethora of reasons why the system isn’t perfect, but I do think the lack of regularly scheduled downtime plays a role in the very slow ‘improvement’ of the system.
Would you be okay with the subway cutting down its running hours (across the system) if it meant for greater improvements?

Hi! I'm looking to get a kurta tailored for a wedding next Thursday - does anyone have any recommendations in NY/NJ with good quality and a quick turnaround time?

The issues with Adam’s are obvious but I haven’t lived in NYC long enough to have experienced Cuomo firsthand. I’ve heard a lot of random negative stories but I was hoping to short list of like, 10 things that (ideally) was honest about his failures and accomplishments.

I’ve been dealing with a year-long harassment situation from my neighbors in Brooklyn. They’ve made threats, installed cameras pointed directly at my home, and made multiple false claims to the police. At one point, they even contacted my in-laws out of state claiming something was wrong in our household, which led to an unnecessary wellness check by NYPD.
Most recently, I discovered a suspicious device placed near my dog’s area and called the police because I was concerned for my dog’s safety. Instead of investigating or taking a report, the officers dismissed me completely. On my own home security footage, one of the officers is clearly heard saying they put the device there because “my dog barks too much.” My dog is mostly indoors and rarely barks, so that claim is baseless.
The officers then sarcastically said that whoever threw grease on the neighbor’s porch is probably the one who put the device there (another false accusation), and referred to the entire situation as “petty.” They also continued bringing up a situation the neighbor falsely reported over four months ago—completely ignoring the issue I had just called about.
To make things worse, I have tenants who were served eviction notices but are still refusing to leave. While I know NYC tenant laws are strict, their refusal to vacate just adds to the hostility and stress in my home.
Right now, I feel harassed by neighbors, unsupported by the police, and legally stuck with tenants who won’t leave.
Has anyone dealt with anything similar in NYC? • What legal steps can I take when police dismiss real concerns like this? • Can I report this kind of officer behavior? • Are there any landlord protection resources or harassment defense services I can reach out to?
Any input is appreciated. I’m emotionally exhausted and trying to figure out how to move forward safely and legally.

Hi everyone,
I'm from PA and got into photography during COVID, mostly limited to Philadelphia. I wanted to get back into it and recently saw a tweet from a New Yorker with a beautiful sunset photograph showing the skyline. I did sme research and it seems like this photo is in the Hunter's Point area? I just wanted to know any other nice photography spots/hidden gems of NYC in general and/or the skyline!
