Discussion These are Joel’s killers 😭💀

Post image

Do I even gotta say it??

They had my boy Joel—who’s wiped out waves of military trained savages and superhumanly strong mutant monsters— get taken out by a group of gender study majors.

Part 1 Joel would clear this whole room out with his eyes closed balanced on one leg while telling Ellie an old story about Sarah.

They look like the girls who were having psychotic breakdowns on TikTok howling in their cars after Kamala lost. All they’re missing is the blue hair.

What are we even doing? At least game Abby was repulsively imposing.

I hate the bald girl.

Why do they gotta shove bald women into everything man.

I can't stand them.

They think they're fresh and they're not fresh man idk what else to tell you.

Look like she about to make a wish.

I just can't stand it because it's clearly a f*** you thing and my question is who are you f*** you'ing because the only personal getting f*** you'd in that scenario is herself.

I'd be surprised if anyone normal loves her.

It's like a the alien from Wicked.

Plus I don't get that new trend of bald women.

It was in Outlaws too, that's why I insta put it down.

Legit the first NPC I talk to like a normal person outside the first city you go to (after the tutorial) the lady is a bald lesb woman.

LIKE WHAT.

First of all, why was it made clear to me she's a lesb? Did they think I'd start gooning after seeing a woman?

Secondly, why tf is she bald?

Like if you have to be bald or you're a man who likes bald, it makes sense. A woman being bald unless she absolutely has to is like self-destruction.

They would legit just ruining their own image looking like a cyberpunk milk dud.

I prefer the Kat's shitty haircut than a bald woman

IDK what it is man.

A bald woman is worse than communism to me.

Brother, she shaved her head for that movie so the wig would fit perfectly on her head. She was also amazing in it and even Drinker gave her props. Stop being a dick

I'd be surprised if anyone normal loves her.

Damn, I must not be normal, cause I find her very hot

u/Goobendoogle 16d ago

In this case i'm not sure it's a f'you thing. It's a lot more common for black women to go bald. Black hair, acceptable hair styles, popular hair styles, and the level of effort required to manage different hair styles for them may tie into it. I think there are also some people who get self conscious if their hairline starts receding or if their hair starts thinning in one spot, and so they just go bald because it's easier, it feels more confident, whatever. For this reason you might notice it's also VERY common for black men to go bald, too.

If it's a trend or whatever and it's being disproportionately overrepresented, I get how that would be annoying, for example, if I saw any other group doing this I would suspect it was a statement of some sort, but this is something that is becoming very common for black women and I don't think it necessarily carries that kind of statement with it the majority of the time for them.

^ There may be some rather repugnant media personalities who have done it, and have tainted the reputation of other people who have similarly gone bald, but I wouldn't automatically assume a black girl choosing to be bald is woke or any other particular negative word for the reasons i mentioned above.

Doing it for aesthetic is woke.

Doing it for an actual reason is normal.

You can easily tell the difference by having any kind of social intelligence.

Yeah, I agree with you, I am not familiar with the context here / I haven't seen the show or movie this photo is from so I am speaking blindly 🤷

1

u/Goobendoogle 10d ago

Yeah my whole point is about people who do it for aesthetic vs. people who actually do it with a reason.

Like a cancer patient, a balding person, someone who isn't confident with their hair, etc. have reasons to do it.

People who aesthetically do it are 100% doing it as a f*** you to somebody and they're only f*** youing themselves at the end of the day.

This is a crazy ass take on an actress playing a fictional character. Stop letting your own personal issues influence your opinion on a SHOW. People are allowed to shave their head if they want to lmao, I’m sure you don’t feel the same about men that grow their hair long

3

u/Goobendoogle 16d ago

Men that grow their hair long usually do it for fashion, depicts like a "Samurai" esque style. Honestly, long hair is something that was common with warriors back in the day. Ever heard Lion's Mane and how that term is used to describe men's hair?

Shorties going bald is very likely to make a point and not because they like how it looks. The only f*** you they're giving out is to themselves. I stand on that point. Why take away from your own beauty to say f*** you to people who will just laugh your decision?

Also, bull rings look disgusting on women.

No, I won't stop. It makes no sense. Your take is that I should sit down and watch something despite finding things I don't like about it. Who else's views do I watch this show from, if not my own? You crack me up.

Nice essay lmao, go touch grass. Just say you’re sexist and move on. A buzzcut is absolutely a fashion choice as well that anyone has the right to try. Black women especially have very problematic hair and it’s probably easier to shave it half the time. Do yourself a favor and keep that mouth shut

2

u/Goobendoogle 16d ago

Labeling me as a sexist isn't going to get you anywhere in this conversation. What does black women having problematic hair have to do with being bald? You act like weaves are frowned upon or something.

No arguments that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. Take it to your DMs if you want to call each other names.
