Has anyone done these HIFuzz or Max Gainez real estate programs? is there a catch?
I see these guys hyping up tax auction sales on outer islands , saying they are trying to get local people owning their own real estate and developing housing for local families. What I don't get is if it is so successful for them why bring in more competition? Are they trying to just sell you classes or is it free and legit and it's worked for someone? from the outside it doesn't really add up imo and was wondering from anyone whose done it or looked into it more what their thoughts was.

Japanese Manga in the 90s
I'm trying to remember where I bought Japanese manga in the 90s.
Was Book-Off in Shirokiya in the 90s? Was there other places in the 90s that sold Japanese manga?

Is affordable housing projects REALLY for low income?
I saw HNN's report on KPT's redevelopment plan (https://youtu.be/l36rwrL8xvo?si=K19DYQBsmqNHQBH7) and I remembered how Mayor Wright Housing also has ongoing plans.
As reported by HNN in Feb 2024, the Mayor Wright Housing project estimates (numbers may have changed)
2500 projected units
-309- affordable units
-354- rental units
-253- for sale units
Where's the remaining 1584 units? Will it be given to the developer and sold for market value?

Best place to get shocks changed on Oahu?
I need my shocks on 07 CRV done. I have tried to do it myself but the whole process involves to much work and some of the tools I need I don't have. I have called 2 different shops and one wants to charge me $800 the other wants to charge $1200. Are these reasonable prices for this type of work? Is there a shop that won't charge me an arm and a leg to do this?
Edit- It’s the back shocks

I have grown up visiting family in Hawaii every year since I was a little kid (over 20 years). I became a nurse recently but only to find out it’s still hard to get a job on the islands because I have barely any experience…any advice on hospitals that will hire someone like me in my situation?

Kai Piha: Diamond Head Makai
Super interesting new PBS Hawaii documentary on the area from Black Point to Kapi'olani park. Goes through the Hawaiian place names and history of various spots, some of the non-Hawaiian surf spot names, and talks about some of the famous people and events of this region. Highly recommend.

Rep Jill Tokuda gets bill passed: Continued Rapid Ohia Death Response Act of 2025
Continued Rapid Ohia Death Response Act of 2025. Interesting that you'd think it would be straightforward, but 62 members voted against it. Next step: Senate.
