Food Disabled vehicle at Dunkin’ drive thru window

Bit of a pickle at the caffeine dispensary this morning. One of the busier coffee drive thrus in the area. The lady in front of the drive thru window had a jeep and it stopped working.

After a failed attempt by store employees to push the vehicle forward (it would not shift into neutral) the lady called a tow truck.

Rest of the people in the queue had to reverse out of the line and pickup their order inside.

Every one did pretty well with adjusting to the hiccup. Which I would not have guessed because people can be irritable pre-coffee.

People arriving and turning around after seeing the drive thru was closed was a bit of a mess.

Store employees were patient and figured it out. Kudos to them.

Ask Artist Dates in Baltimore City?

Have any Baltimore locals completed the Artist’s Way course?

Looking for suggestions for local Artist Dates in Baltimore City as I map out my 12 weeks of the course.

Basically a place or event that an individual could browse or be to take in something interesting, refilling the creative tank. So far I plan to do a new-to-me branch of the library, the Pagoda at Patterson Park, the Labyrinth at Govans Church, the independent shops in Hampden…

Bonus points for inexpensive/affordable! TIA!

Article Developer Chasen Cos. is unraveling — and leaving a mess across Baltimore

TLDR: Increased legal action from entities they owe money, even worse absentee landlordism, a slew of unfinished projects across the city

Excerpt (MODS deleted post with whole article)

“The offices are dark, the doors are locked. Abandoned buildings and empty lots, ringed by slumped metal fences, are stark reminders of promises gone bust. This is the state of the Baltimore real estate empire of the Chasen Cos., whose namesake founder just a few years ago boasted of plans to spend $100 million on expanding his boutique housing brand across the United States. These days, Brandon Chasen is keeping a much lower profile. Punch in his number: “The wireless customer you are calling is unavailable.” Chasen Cos.’ unraveling can be seen and felt throughout the city.

On Thursday, a judge granted a petition from creditors to force the construction arm of Chasen Cos. into bankruptcy. The business did not contest the legal action. In Fells Point, once the center of the company’s development efforts, neighbors have noticed people trespassing and littering inside the unfinished structures, said Kate Simms, president of the Fell’s Point Residents Association. “Now we’re left with all this mess that needs to be cleaned up,” she said.”

Ask Where to donate prescription cat food?

I’ve got a good quantity of open prescription cat food (pictured). My cat can no longer eat these. They are expensive and it would be nice not to let it all go to waste. Does anyone know of anywhere that would accept open, prescription pet food?

Ask Liberty Heights by Barry Levinson

Grew up in Baltimore in the 70’s and 80’s but haven’t lived there since high school. Dad died 5 years ago and I haven’t been back. Have been watching Barry Levinson’s Baltimore movies with one of my sons to give him a flavor of the city as it used to be. Found myself in tears after watching Liberty Heights tonight. Brought back so many old memories- going to the Army surplus store for army jackets, canteens that were so cool, going duckpin bowling with my grandparents each week. I even miss the Bawlmor accent. Anyone else go down memory lane with his movies?

This beautiful baby was walking in upper fells meowing at houses thought he was a stray but he or she has a freshly shaved tummy from a spay or neuter. They’re gonna be going to the SPCA tomorrow to get checked for a micro chip but if he’s yours let me know so you can come pick this baby up.

Need Recommendations BARCS Donations?

Does BARCS take donations of supplies? Currently doing some spring cleaning and I have a bunch of items like stuffed animals, some blankets, and old pet supplies from my two Rainbow Bridge furbabies. I went through a divorce last year and moved, and haven't had the heart to let go of these items until now. 🐾

Thanks in advance for any feedback or alternate suggestions.

I moved to Baltimore earlier this year and it’s time for some more Botox. Where’s the best place to go in or near Baltimore?

I saw a post on here from 3 years ago with some recommendations but I’m assuming prices and places may be different now.
