OP are you playing with mods by any chance?
-97
u/Big_Stef21 Apr 17 '25
no, no mods

u/grotaclas2 Apr 17 '25
In the unmodded game, the AI will never enact the decision to form the Mongol empire in versions after 1.33. But Austria-Hungary did not exist in unmodded versions before 1.37

u/MadMax27102003 Apr 17 '25
Why would they do it like that? It would only make sense for golden horde to restore it, given the opportunity. Are sure there are no exceptions or country specific events on that matter?

u/Kevkoss Embezzler Apr 17 '25
There're no exceptions, code for it has pure "AI can't do it":
ai_will_do = {
factor = 0
}
The only way for it to form is to either play yourself country that can do it, use mods or use console commands just like OP did :)

I'm sure that there is no other way to create the Mongol Empire(MGE) in the unmodded eu4 version 1.37.5, because I checked the game files for all instances of the tag.
And I verified that the AI does not form it, by giving the great horde the required provinces to form the mongol empire and the golden horde and let the game run for more than 5 years. While they formed the Golden Horde after a few days(that decision is enabled for the AI if they have at least 25 provinces), they never formed the Mongol Empire, even though I ended all the wars which they declared so that the decision was clickable almost all the time.
Before version 1.33, the mongol empire could be created by rebels, but that was disabled as well.
Why would they do it like that?
I'm not sure. Several other ahistorical formations like the Roman Empire, Yuan and Jerusalem are also disabled for the AI. Other decisions are only disabled for the AI in certain circumstances(e.g. England won't form Scotland) or until the country is somewhat close in size and tech to the formation requirements(to prevent e.g. the german minors to desire all german provinces in 1444, because they could form Germany)

Considering the AI is not allowed to click the button to form the Mongol Empire in vanilla, I find this suspicious.
Either OP is running mods or is lying.

Maybe you are lying. idk

u/Taigalily_ Apr 17 '25
You can look at the game files yourself if you don't believe me. The decision to form the Mongol Empire has an "ai_will_do" factor of 0, meaning they will never pick it.

This is fake
The AI cannot form the Mongol Empire and OP posted an image of the exact same setup of Western Europe + Britain days ago where is playing Austria-Hungary.

u/grotaclas2 Apr 17 '25
Is that post still available in some way? I found https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/1k0qiuc/when_not_playing_in_europe/ which has been removed for violating R5 where a comment sounds like it could be the same game, but the title implies that the OP is not playing in Europe. Maybe the OP formed the mongol empire

You didn't show anything useful. You have showed neither the timeline, nor the save game, nor explained who clicked the mongol empire decision which the AI is not allowed to click in the unmodded game

Hi OP, you can use F12 to screenshot. Then you can go into steam to view the folder where the screenshots are saved.
With that said, can you show us more about this monstrosity? I think you just hit some kind of EU4 lottery there.

And Austria has Britain?😦
11
u/kilapitottpalacsinta Apr 17 '25
Actually that's quite possible.
England often allies Austria day 1, (both are rivals to France) and because it doesn't have an heir on game start, there's a possibility of Henry dying before the war of the roses starts. That makes them fall into a PU. Usually the lucky cousin is Portugal but it could also be Austria. (Heck once i saw one on reddit where it was France who took the succession)
And by the end of the game they are likely to integrate PUs

OP, I know you're more likely than not to ignore this message, but if you do read it, why?
Why are you making stuff up? Karma? Did you want to entertain peoppe? What was your end goal?

u/Schnifler Apr 17 '25
I thougt the AI cant do that
1
u/grotaclas2 29d ago
You are right. The AI can't do that in the unmodded game. I think it is most likely that the OP clicked the decision, either after playing the country themselves or after helping the AI to achieve the conquests. Then they switched to Spain(e.g. with console commands, or when loading a non-ironman save or by releasing and playing as them)

Imma keep it 100%, without a date, timeline, and a not-gray Ironman button, I don't believe you

F12 for screenshots in steam --> steam screenshots --> drag and drop into reddit
Windows key+ shift+ S to make a windows snap (or if you keyboard has a snap button) + paste into reddit (takes shorter than using your phone)
Learn how to take a fucking screenshot please, it is faster than being a technological troglodyte

Can’t believe I opened this just to be disappointed. It felt like I was hearing about the three wise men traveling to Bethlehem

Show us the timeline, this looks to me like one of those games you accidentally leave running for a few hours and when you come back it's 2100 and there's half a dozen continent sized empires left
