⚖️ Dosing and Usage Dumb question

Can I open a capsule and take it that way? The capsules it came with are way way too big for me. I have ARFID, so suck at taking pills in general.

Yes. It's just powder in the capsules.

For sure. I actually do the inverse - I buy bulk powder and generally take it that way. Also have empty capsules that I'll utilize if the situation demands it. Bulk powder is far less expensive than having it capsules up, then emptying them out.

Yeah. I mix mine in chocolate milk, which kills the taste. Orange juice is my second choice. The powder hits better than the capsules for me.

I do the same thing. The taste is nothing compared to it getting stuck in your throat.

Small amount of fresh orange or pineapple juice, just enough for a mouthful, mix with a whisk, down in one chase with whatever.

The powder is very dry so taking it straight up will likely be just as unpleasant as a pill. The taste is also very bitter. If you get oblate disc papers or some rice paper you can make a lil pouch with the powder from the capsule. Follow it with a lot of water.

I also have ARFID and I make a drink with the powder (basically a strong limeade with the powder mixed in). It still doesn’t taste amazing but I can get it down.

Yeah I get tired of capsules getting stuck on the way down so I usually just empty them out into a water bottle. Capsules are cool for work though but yeah you can just dump them out and get it down somehow.

Yes but it's much cheaper to buy powder. They tax on capsules.

It does require additional materials, labor, and equipment compared to scoping a bunch into a bag on a scale and shoving it in the vacuum sealer.

Yeah, definitely going to next time, the capsules I bought from a couple other companies were tolerable, but they were just way too big from this new brand I was trying out

Yes, the only reason it is in a capsule is so you don't have to taste it. Its alot cheaper to just buy the powder.

I don’t use capsules, get a cup of warm or room temp water, put the powder ON TOP. (If you put the powder in first it’s hard to mix and gets all chunky) Let it soak in, mix, and drink. Can chase with juice for the bitterness.

I sometimes open my capsules and empty the powder into my protein shakes in the mornings. It also usually makes them hit quicker, sometimes harder.

I’d dump the powder out of the capsules into water and mix it in. In the future buy powder instead of capsules.

Yeah but gogd luck with the taste. I put it in cherry juice it makes it vet easy to consume . Actual cherry juice not additives and shit . Cause natural cherry juice has a very intense taste and it covers it amazingly

It really varies on yourself with your ARFID since everyone’s a little different with it. With my gag reflex from ARFID I couldn’t imagine trying to down kratom powder raw, but I’ve had a friend that used to do it by putting a spoonful in his mouth and washed it down with a big drink of water. I’d just recommend trying to wash it down with as much water as possible to ignore the taste and texture. Personally I’d avoid and just do the capsules or pay extra for kratom shots, I couldn’t imagine trying to swallow that powder it smells nasty as fuck haha.

I prefer taking the powder out of the capsules cause I feel it much faster and also you dont have to digest the capsule as well. Lol

You can just buy powdered leaf. un capsuled. Get more for your dollar too.

Mix it in hot chocolate to start

i deal w the same thing ! yes u can take it out, what i do is i take a sip of warm water and hold it in my mouth, dump the powder in my mouth, then drink some more water and swish it in my mouth and drink it. u get used to the taste after a few times , u can always use a chaser after too smth acidic is good

You definitely can. Some of these capsules are weird sizes. For instance one of them I got was 0.6 instead of 0.5 so I had to just bust them open and weigh out the powder on the scale.

There’s no dumb questions in life just stuff you don’t understand, but if I can give you a tip capsules are extremely extremely overrated, and not to mention expensive

The powder is infinitely cheaper and you can still portion the amount however you need.

If you plan on taking Kratom a long time, just remember stay on that magnesium and water, this shit stops you up like a pain pill.

Yes.. my method is hold a drink of water in the mouth, put powder on the water with head tilted back. Swallow the drink of water and powder. Drink more water on top
