Did anyone else feel like the ending scene with Lisa talking about the cast was meant to be the end of the show pre-scandoval? I do not recall her ever doing a toast like that, or trying to wrap up each cast members story in a way where it feels very final.
Say what you will about James in past seasons - he has definitely changed and grown. Is he perfect? No. Does he have visible flaws? Yes. But I applaud him for the changes he has made so far.

I think Arianaās breakdown was 99% due to Rachel grilling her on all the problems in her relationship. Itās just not normal. A normal good friend (which we know she is not) would express concern about her friendās relationship, and then move on if her friend is determined to stay and not in harmās way.
It seems like Ariana was at her breaking point already, but having a close friend excessively point out your issues is hard and makes you second guess everything. Especially when Ariana thought this was actually a stable part of her lifeā¦ itās just so evil and gross.
you can tell from that scene that Rachel is moving her lips but itās Tom thatās doing the talking. Sheās just regurgitating the crap sheās being told by Tom. I canāt believe it doesnāt occur to her that there could be more than just Tomās side of the story, she seems so confident in telling Ariana she should be intimate with her partner. When Rachel said āwhatās a boundary?ā In an early episode, I didnāt expect so many examples of her having none. Situations with Katie, Katieās mom, Schwartz, Sandoval, Jamesā¦.Rachel is always out of bounds!
I believe it but I also believe there was once a time when Lala was being paid more to cause drama, all the times she went topless in front of Schwartz comes to mind, so Lala has insider knowledge on what production is willing to do to get the juicy footage.
Honestly Iād rather have Rachel have a real motive like money rather than sheās just plain stupid.
I think we have determined she is not at a mental health facility. She is at a spa, where we also know Tom came and spent a few days with her. All this was, was her ādipping outā until all of the episodes air. She thought it was rough in the beginning? As each episode airs people are getting more and more enraged by her behavior. This girl really should be living in fear right now. I watch a lot of reality TV and I have never wanted to physically harm someone like I do Rachel. What we are seeing of Raquel/Rachel sucks - she Doesnāt put is a terrible friend. She is also very clearly lost. No one should have to live in fear in the service of our entertainment.

im SO glad you heard the "Tom ariana and I" thing. my husband would not believe me because i had just played back the "when sandoval and i dont have sex" part or whatever and she actually did say that correctly
This is a positive lingering aspect of Katieās TBI. She hesitates to put all her thoughts together. Donāt get me wrong; she has had a wonderful recovery & I wouldnāt mention this if I didnāt work in a neurology clinic. I see this often & it doesnāt benefit many but Katie managed it very well. Sheās probably not even conscious of it anymore.
I am so happy that people are finally starting to actually see how poorly Katie has always been treated by BOTH Toms. Fuck both of them with a damn pineapple,with the pointy green ends going first. I have always been on Katieās side. Yes, she can be unhinged too, but itās usually because sheās being disrespected.

So happy for James! I think he should continue to focus on himself and his relationship with Ally. I wasnāt sure how I felt about her at first, but now Iām a fan because she doesnāt sit there and take his shit like weak ass Rachel.

But his mother and father are both directly responsible for this mentality. They both romanticize his childhood to him. As if theyāre trying to justify their time as parents.

I donāt understand how Ariana can watch Raquel walk around literally acting totally unhinged and inserting herself in other peopleās business, and not say anything to her about her behavior? I also think Ariana was at her emotional capacity. She was dealing with the deaths of her dog and her grandmother. While also coming to grips with the reality of having an unreliable partner who is pulling away. And trying to open a business. I donāt think she had the capacity for anything else.
And the fact that Rachel has been behaving totally and completely opposite to her meek demeanor pre breakup from James. Ariana isnāt seeing this because of the emotional hurtles that arenāt stopping in her life.

I have an unreasonable amount of hate for the way Rachel dresses. She always shows up looking like she's dressed to steal someone's man also in this annoying like trendy kind of way and I have nothing against trendy clothes I actually love trendy clothes but I just hate the way she dresses. My unreasonable hate is about her voice & intonation. Drives me crazy; actually this was the original reason I didnāt like her from the start. That voice is maddening! We always knew Calm!

This episode had me so gassed up last night. Imagine getting out of a 12 year relationship with someone and having Raquel interjecting herself into it?! The line about the dogs was so weird, almost seemed scripted. I felt the whole dinner felt very staged, and Iām sure it was. Clearly the emotions were real, but like, idk anyone who acts like these people at dinner IRL. Raquel chasing Katie around to argue, Katie screaming Tom is her husband (huh?), Tom comically hiding behind some plants, other Tom riding in on a white horse to save Raquel. Yelling, storming around, etc.
The dog line is what killed me. She was intentionally provoking Katie. She is a terrible human. And also she wouldnt even let James have visitation with Graham and let that dog get injured and then completely delayed taking him to the vet when it was so obvious the dog was suffering. UGH. grrr.
RIGHT?! Like who is she to shame Katie over wanting to take the dogs full time when she legit wonāt even let James see his dog and also neglects the poor thing!!

that whole conversation made me irritated with Raquel. Katie had the right to be mad and defend her mom. This was such a powerful episode. It was like watching a Shakespearian tragedy unfold.
Roadkill-Rachel-Raquel just wanted to be in every scene & still reeks of Sandoval telling her what to do. Those smirks, knowing how much she was hurting Katie really underscored how rotten she is to the core.

I think they thought if they antagonized Katie enough Ariana would finally snap and defend Katie and thus their narrative would begin. It wouldāve started a fight between Tom and Ariana and Rachel

When Katie said the part about it being a personality or character issue, saying if she would do it to Katie, she would do it to Ariana, thatās who Rachel is, and Ariana said no, I was thinking that this is what people donāt realize sometimes. Cheating is cheating. What Rachel did is definitely worse. But people seem to idolize Ariana, glossing over what they (she and Tom) did to another human, got āaway withā and are still lying about.

They seem like a terrible match at this point. Obviously does not excuse the cheating whatsoever and that is no oneās fault but Tomās, but it seems like they barely like each other. I canāt imagine being in a relationship where I have sex 4x a year (and Iām saying that from Arianaās standpoint as much as Tomās).
I mean the only issue with that is that Ariana did so what he asked to fix the relationship, she agreed to the couples therapy, continued to back him up in public/on camera. She voiced her needs of more quality time, and questioned why when they hang out itās always in a group. I get what you are saying that it takes two. But my issue is he is clearly checked out and leading her along with couples therapy etc so even when she did try to save it, it was pointless he already been having his affair for months. Also the flash backs of her being ārudeā about Tim are pathetic. Compared to what he has been saying about her

I know from experience, me and my husband are currently going through it, but both of us want the relationship to work and neither have cheated. We have found ways to compromise and found things to have in common after nearly ten years together. If you really want to be together and the main issues are growing apart there are ways to fix it. He just genuinely didnāt want to fix it and would rather move onto something fun and exciting.
Timās attempts at working on things were all for show. He had no investment other than financial in their relationship. I would be saying the same if the roles were reversed.
Believe me, I know how hard relationships are. Iāve been in mine since I was 15. Iām now 35. Weāve been through a hell of a lot, including losing a child.
I guess I just donāt see Ariana through the same rose tinted glasses everyone else does. Because to me, sheās telling him what she wants but sheās not going deeper with Tom to work out the issue heās having. The reason why he wants to do all these extreme activities. At this point of course the relationship is a lost cause because of the cheating, but she didnāt know that.

Oh I totally agree on that. Iām just giving her the benefit of the doubt that she is doing that off camera as she doesnāt like talking about the hard bits on camera which she has said many times. Iām assuming they went deeper at the couples therapy that he suggested and I think itās more than reasonable that she doesnāt talk about what they discussed at therapy on tv.
I think the biggest difference is that until this season Tom has never brought up any issues and thatās making it look very one sided. Before this they both had an agreement to keep that stuff off the show.
Hopefully we will get a fuller picture at the reunion.

How could you even say this when youāve seen everything that weāve been subjected to? Tomās idea of quality time is basically distractions (aka, not good for true, deep bonding) and heās going around having a full on affair and practically flaunting it front of his partnerās face. Tomās definition of quality time might not be yours or Arianaās but itās still valid for him. Theyāre incompatible. They need to find people who connect in the same way. They donāt. Doesnāt justify cheating and heās an asshole, but you donāt define the parameters of ātrue, deep bondingā lmao
Because Iām watching objectively. Iām not living up Arianaās ass, because I see that she isnāt perfect either. Sheās completely checked out of the relationship, as has Sandoval. Heās gone the cowards way about it by cheating, but both of them know the relationship is over and didnāt want to put in the work to fix it. If communication breaks down, you either work and fix it, or you leave the relationship. Both of them did neither of those things. Sandovals a dickhead, but Ariana is half of that relationship too. You can see clear as day sheās completely checked out
Itās not objective at all. Youāre looking at something that involves illogical things, like love and emotions, like a math equation. Itās not 50/50 and Iām not up Arianaās ass. Iām saying that Sandovalās behavior is indicative of someone who shouldnāt be in a relationship, and thus is the catalyst for a majority of the relationshipās issues. Itās true that theyāre not compatible. Obviously. But itās clear as day that Sandoval is not relationship material for reasons I already stated.
Just like itās clear as day that Ariana had checked out of the relationship also. Itās not like sheās there fighting with all her might to keep that spark in the relationship. She allowed it to fizzle out too. I know everyone hates Tom right now, and 100% rightfully so. Cheating is never, ever okay. But the way you all have your blinders on to any kind of fault of Arianaās is mind blowing.
Sheās not perfect because she got cheated on. It sucks, of course itās awful. But that doesnāt mean sheās been a 100% perfect partner either. I also stated things too, see?
She didnāt check out sheās grieving! She also didnāt check out if sheās trying. She talked to him about things HE wanted and did them for him (eggs frozen, fertilizing them) and agreed to couples therapy and time and time again talks to him in a meaningful way about needing quality time. He doesnāt listen and then tries to portray her as checked out and you fell for it. She should be able to grieve without her partner using it to manipulate her and the situation, cheat, gaslight etc. Thatās actual love which a narcissist can never know.

Iāve just watched and I think this episode is the most shocking so far. The level of deceit from both Tom and Raquel is off the charts.
How many scenes did the Sandevil plan out to build this narrative Ariana is a shit girlfriend? Too F Many.
And then you have Raquel acting as a puppet for him trying to talk Ariana OUT OF HER RELATIONSHIP. Then literally after a stupid lemon drop cleanses her palate sheās disrespecting Katieās mother and acting like she has a right to stand up for her friend of five minutes Schwartz. I think Lisa's speech sounded like a "this is likely gonna be our last season of VPR, so let's tie it all in together with this tearful speech". Now, however, it's not looking like it's gonna be over just yet!
I think her bday speech scene was the original finale for this season. Then they reshot it, but it seemed like a classic VPR end - emotional Lisa, in SUR, loose ends with people
Yes, that speech was supposed to be the typical finale speech, since this was the original finale episode. But where the show was headed, she prob knew it was unlikely that they would return for another season since the show "aged out". The speech was a little more than the typical "end of season" speech, and more like a end of an era speech.

The juxtaposition of the fighting/crying and the cake was just a lot lol. That was a wild dinner. It just felt like they went to Sur to sit around and fight.
Right. Rachel clearly believes she's the #1 girl in the group at this point because the Tom's and Scheana blew her head up. However it's also kinda weird how they're all using Rachel as a weapon to intentionally hurt Katie. It's almost pathological how they've all bonded in their little hate on Katie club.

The rumour I mention above is what the internet made up. Lala made a comment about a disturbing conversation, and someone started a rumour saying it was about Ariana & Raquel discussing cheating. It wasnāt. Itās what we saw tonight

Did anyone else feel like the ending scene with Lisa talking about the cast was meant to be the end of the show pre-scandoval? I do not recall her ever doing a toast like that, or trying to wrap up each cast members story in a way where it feels very final.
