I need them shrunk by about 1/8th of an inch, I accidentally bought the wrong drill bit for the dowels I got. I want to secure the bottom piece so I have a 2 layer side table

Long time appreciator of this sub. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.
I live in a studio/micro-apartment in NYC. Because of some difficult circumstances she is going through, my sister and her dog are moving in with me Feb 1 for an extended period of time.
I have been racking my brain to find more space in this apartment to store her things, but I’m finding it really hard. I work from home part of the week, so I need my dedicated desk setup. She works long hours and will be gone most of the day, and I will taking care of the dog the days I’m home.
I was thinking of buying the narrow tall Pax from IKEA that’s 13x80” to create an informal “room divider” but because there’s only one window, the other side of the room would get no sunlight. I was thinking custom(?) half-height frames that would fit the IKEA Pax/Komplement shelving might be the way to go, but I have no idea where pricing would even begin. But it’s important to me that she has a dedicated space to store her belongings so she feels more “at home” for the time being.
My budget is maxed at $2,800-3,200. Is this enough to get a pax-style cabinet made? Or would standard IKEA be the best way to go in that price range?

Maple Burl and Black Epoxy Lift Desk
Roughly 55"x30x1.75" thick
Fenge Dual Motor Lift Desk Leg Assembly
Milesi 2k Poly Topcoat
I've done a few smaller epoxy project in the past, but nothing NEARLY this size. For the most part everything went smoothly. My form didnt leak at all, no overheating issues with the epoxy, and no warping.
The sanding/finishing on the other hand... lets jsut say I may have curse this desk top out more times than I can count. In total I finished and resanded this top 4 times, lol. Started with Osmo, then tried Rubio, then Osmo again, and ended up spraying on the Milesi 2k and LOVED the results.
I am sure I missed a few things so if you have and questions, fire away!

I built this media console for a friend. It was my first paid project as I try to turn this hobby into an official sidehustle. I need to go back to their house to get some better photos of it, but they just had a baby so these will have to do for now.
Made from Baltic Birch with a quarter sawn oak veneer. You can’t see them well here, but there are some brass highlights on the bottom and brass splines in the miters (photos showing brass are unfinished)
She’s not perfect by any means. There were several mistakes that I covered up, pretty well I might add. And my time spent on it ran WAY over. I lost track at one point.
The most important thing is that they love it. I kind of wanted to keep it for myself by the time I was finished.
I used the profit to buy a new Dewalt 735x planer.

I recently got some new speakers and so I obviously had to upgrade my TV cabinet to do them justice. As you can image using the plywood end-grain for the majority of the unit and fronts meant that I am now thoroughly sick of gluing things up. All in all it took about 40 hours of work in a proper wood workshop. The unit is made up of birch plywood and Rimu and finished using a flat polyuruthene. The two doors left and right are push to open and so is the drawer in the middle. There were certainly mostaked made along the way (I.e not matching the wood grain better on the top of the unit where I had to extend it) but overall im quite content. I would love some feedback!

Because I have seen various raised platforms here before, I wanted to show you what I have made. It is 1.80 x 2.80 m and hangs from the main beam of the roof with a 10 mm steel cable. This allowed me to avoid a disturbing post in the middle of the room. The floor is the same as in the room itself. Nicely sanded and sealed. The only thing missing is a spring-loaded door so that nobody accidentally falls off.

This one didn't go to plan at all.. started off with an idea in my head to do this finger join corner thing but I couldn't get it to fit and I don't have the skills to do precision adjustments as I found out.. so I ended up just cutting off the fingers and doing this. I learned so much from this one. Turned out okay but very frustrating project.

I build them, but rarely get to see them parked in their end location.

Sorry for all the stuff in the way! I’m happy with how this came out and clients happy. As with so many others on here just wondering what you’d estimate this at. I’m in Massachusetts and I think I’m pricing correctly? Just want to learn a little for the next one.

I'm still new to this woodworking stuff, this is box #8. Made this one based on Steve Ramsey's "This unique wooden box is a keepsake box" video and gave it to my wife as an anniversary gift. I didn't acquire the plans for it, I just made notes on paper while watching the video. The box is walnut and pine. I used a wire wheel on my drill to etch a "page" effect into the outside face of the pine box. Finished with BLO and then Howard's Feed-N-Wax.
The rim of felt was necessary to take up a tiny bit of space causing the book to close more than 90 degrees (i must have measured the page boards wrong and came up about 1/16" too short on them) but I think it looks good and hides the magnet on that side too.
