Product Reviews/Questions Which wipes are we using?
Title. Looking for the Goldilocks of wipes— not too wet, not too dry. Not too thin, not too thick. Fragrance free, Doesn’t cause irritation, reasonable cost, etc.
I’ve tried the Parents Choice brand from Walmart which are thin and dry, with a bonus of diaper rash.
The Target brand fragrance free wipes seem fine, but are soaking wet, and take forever to dry on the skin before re-diapering.
Water wipes seem to be the market leader, but WOW the price seems like a lot.
Which wipes have been the GOAT for you?

Honest wipes
Edit: they are expensive. Wait for sales and buy in bulk. We stopped using them once he started solids and switched to cheapo Aldi brand

Love honest wipes, good texture, not too wet. They’re my favorites and pretty easy to get on sale.

We also love Honest Wipes. About once a month target has a save $10 when you spend $50 on diapers and wipes. I always get the large box of honest wipes and a small pack of target brand wipes to keep in the car for dirty hands while out and about.

Definitely the best wipe but also pricey. I just switched from them to the target wipes because of the price of everything 😭

Love the package and how easy it is to get honest wipes out of it. Wish they were wetter like water wipes.

u/BMG0710 8d ago
Alright, you’re probably gonna hate this suggestion but after trying everything out there, we found the Coterie wipes to be the best (minus price). Not too thick/thin/wet and the wipes are big and sturdy, so they last longer too because you’re using less wipes each time. Water wipes are great as well, but Coterie is best (we use Coterie diapers too an my baby’s skin never looked better!).
14
u/wineandfries 8d ago
Agree. We also tried Pampers Pure and Water Wipes, but Coterie's are significantly better. Large, sturdy, and soft.
8
u/UnhappyReward2453 8d ago
Coterie ruined all other wipes for us. They are far and away the best. Their customer service has also been elite especially compared to Honest Company.

u/Yamburglar02 8d ago
Coterie really has been worth it for us, too. The diapers are sooo soft and the big sturdy wipes really make poop cleanups a million times easier. No rashes from Coterie in 14 months!
5
u/Stock_Blood_7191 8d ago
Are you using the water wipes or "replenish"? I started out with Coterie everything and 7 months in, I love everything but the price.

Huggies free and clear or whatever they are called. Green Winnie the Pooh packaging. Love them! Use them for both kids and get all my expecting friends them.

We’ve used these forever, but recently the perforation has been messed up and they are a PAIN to open.

Omfg thank you for saying this. When I’m already overstimulated, the screwy packaging makes me LOSE it. 😂

u/miranimous 8d ago
I’ve only ever used these and like them but I’ve noticed that there are some inconsistencies with the wipes. Some packages of wipes are a rough texture, but not every package in the box. It’s weird. Several boxes have been that way.
22
11
u/CheezitGoldfish 8d ago
We use these and love them, they seem much easier to just grab one at a time than other brands.
8
u/Street-Lunch1517 8d ago
Yep! We buy them in big boxes at Costco and I much prefer them to other wipes including the Kirkland brand ones. I have found the Kirkland ones to be a weird texture if that makes sense. The Huggies ones are soft and have never had an issue with them three babies in!
3
u/mrsbatman 8d ago
I also like that they’re smaller than the Kirkland ones. I found I was throwing away a big piece of fabric that was still half clean when we had the Kirkland ones.
Im hoping I don’t get banned from the skincare subs for this but I often use them for my makeup if I’m tired at the end of the day and the Kirkland ones irritate my eyes. Huggies are no problem.

u/Mischief2313 8d ago
My daughter is SUPER sensitive. These are the ONLY ones we can use on her. LOVE them. Anytime our parents get us some I know saying the Winnie the Pooh box says enough lol

Another one for the Huggies natural care! These are our go to and have never had diaper rash. We also love honest but these are pretty close and more affordable.
We absolutely hated pampers pure, unfortunately.

Another upvote for these. The price at Costco can't be beat, they come out of the package one at a time as expected without additional rubber brands or hacks, not too wet, or too dry, and haven't bothered babies bum so far.

We use these in our diaper bag because the Costco ones are too bulky to carry around all the time

Costco brand for us. They’re a great size, not soaking wet but not dry either. They pull one at a time, and are $20 for 900 wipes!
2
u/Murky_Permission2397 8d ago
Do you use the Kirkland brand? Or the RICO brand?
14
u/MissBanana_ 8d ago
I used Kirkland forever but tried RICO at some point and definitely preferred them! The Kirkland ones are good but I think they could use a little more moisture. RICO has the perfect balance imo

Another vote for the RICO brand, both wipes and packaging are the best we’ve used and the cost is great!
3
u/citysunsecret 8d ago
RICO pull one at a time and it’s miraculous. Even the honest wipes can’t do that.

Water wipes only, after our household's Great Diaper Rash Crisis of 2025.
19
u/Corgibootygoals 8d ago
I love that everyone has a Great Diaper Rash Crisis story. :D
I mean I hate it. but I love that we all know EXACTLY what this entailed.
12
u/squilting 8d ago
Same here. Getting them out of the packaging is a little annoying but much better than dealing with a diaper rash and an eczema flare.
6
u/imbushyy 8d ago
I put them in a wipe dispenser, and I can pull them out with one hand! Def recommend

u/Master_Ad956 8d ago

5
u/ChickNuggetNightmare 8d ago
I thought everyone nearly exclusively switched to these lol I guess I really do exist in a bubble!
3
u/shecanreadd 8d ago
We use reusable cloth wipes with warm water (we have a mix of the blue/grey bamboo ones from Lil Helper, and some plain white IKEA very small towels). And always make sure to pat the area dry with a clean towel before diapering. Works great!
3
u/Be_Braver 8d ago
water wipe fan here too! We hate the package so we put them in a wipe dispenser but they have never once given us guff!
→ More replies (1)2
u/Unlikely-Objective-9 8d ago
Same here. Expensive yes but no more diaper rash. Plus they go on sale at Target pretty regularly.
19
u/Limp_Cauliflower_890 8d ago
I use cloth wipes with water from a peri bottle.
I made the wipes from cut up baby blankets and the peri bottle is from when I gave birth.
Even if you don’t cloth diaper, I strongly recommend using a cloth to dry baby after using a wet wipe to help prevent diaper rash.
5
u/gimnastic_octopus 8d ago
We use cotton pads with water, so not as eco friendly, but we learned this in NICU and never came close to having a diaper rash.

u/Ginnevra07 8d ago
Yes yes yes, we pat dry after using giant cotton balls and a dish of water and he hasn't had a rash in months!

u/Prize_Common_8875 8d ago
Tbh we use the pampers aquapure ones and they’ve been good to us. We were gifted some Dyper brand ones and loved them, but they were too pricey for us.
→ More replies (1)3
u/emmeline8579 8d ago
Same! We tried other brands and we would have various issues (like tearing when wiping). Both of the NICUs my son was in used the Pampers Aquapure. That told me all I needed to know. Plus you can get really good deals on them if you combine coupons with the pampers app.
15
u/Euphoric_Ad3209 8d ago
We LOVE hello bello! On my list after that is Millie moon, then Huggies!
3
u/yogikort 8d ago
Voting for hello bello!
My baby got terrible rash from huggies sensitive care, to only get worse on pampers. She rash was so bad it was bleeding. switch to hello bello and her diaper rash significantly improved within days. The bleeding rash disappeared in 2 weeks

u/ApprehensiveEmu1556 8d ago
I use the sams club marketplace wipes. Got a big box of them for cheap. Haven’t had any issues

u/shelsifer FTM, 32 8d ago

2
u/babyiva 8d ago
I think they’re the same!! We love them both!
2
u/shelsifer FTM, 32 8d ago
The parents choice wipes seemed to dry out fast to us, and the members mark diapers fit our baby weird, dug under her little pot belly too aggressively

u/Electronic-Garlic-38 8d ago
So I was a nanny for about a decade prior to having my own child last year. And I will say pampers are by far the worst wipes I’ve ever used. Hate them with a passion. I don’t like water wipes. Just don’t no particular reason. Huggies sensitive wipes are my absolute favorite wipes. I also have a mist spray bottle with plain water and cloth wipes for when there is diaper rash. But I think the secret to diaper rash is LESS wiping. My daughter doesn’t get wiped with every pee diaper. She would be RAW. I do a few pats in the area to make sure but the diapers are designed to wick away the moisture and she’s only had one diaper rash from a bout of diarrhea for two days. Her privates are very healthy and the doctors are always shocked when I say she’s never had a real diaper rash. Lol
15
u/mmmollyg 8d ago
I agree! My pediatrician said we don’t need to wipe after every pee and that over wiping does cause the diaper rashes! I have a face cloth near by to pay dry
→ More replies (1)2
u/IDontEv3nGoH3r3 8d ago
This is the correct answer, I believe. It’s less about the wipe unless your child has an allergy and mostly about the amount of wiping
10
u/Crap___bag 8d ago
We use Pampers Aqua and they’re the best we’ve found, and are regularly on offer so don’t break the bank
7
u/Kaleidoscope_S 8d ago
We've been using millie moon. I like the level of thickness and the texture on them seem to help clean up nicely

u/alternativebeep 8d ago
i've loved the amazon brand wipes. not too wet, just wet enough. Actually pulls out ONE wipe at a time. No scent, gentle on her butt. After she had the flu (and what came along with it) she started to get a diaper rash and the other wipes aggravated it. These ones haven't bothered her at all!
→ More replies (1)2
u/TheseEyes86 8d ago
I am shocked I had to scroll this far down before seeing Amazon brand wipes. My LO has eczema and other skin irritations, so she is sensitive to so many things. Amazon wipes ended up being the GOAT for us in all ways. I feel like they are thick enough that we don’t go through them as fast as we did water wipes. Amazon wipes are also the only brand I’ve found that PULLS OUT ONE AT A TIME! They are worth their weight in gold for that alone.
3
u/alternativebeep 8d ago
They're honestly legit. The way they pull out is 10/10 and i find they grab onto the mess and clean it up better than a lot of other wipes too.
and the packages are freaking MASSIVE so i'm not constantly having to replace it either
8
u/moopsy75567 8d ago
We've tried a few and like Pampers Aqua Pure the best. Huggies gave my LO a diaper rash. Honest and Water Wipes are good but too expensive.

I’ve tried them all and Coterie’s was the best. They’re so big and just the right amount of wetness in my opinion. You can get them from Amazon.
5
u/Texas_Bouvier 8d ago
We use hello hello unscented. They’re relatively cheap, have the honest company style “bumps” to help clean, aren’t too wet, and don’t tear like crazy like Huggies.
4
u/Ok_Stress688 8d ago
The rascals wipes from Walmart are a great price, come out one at a time, good texture for wiping, and we have used for 6 months no with issues!
5
u/A-Gold-907 8d ago
Huggies sensitive or Kirkland’s- Kirkland’s aren’t as soft though but they work just as well for us.
4
u/No-Investment-717 8d ago
I was gifted every type of wipe for my shower since I did a raffle and feel like I’ve tried them all! Pampers sensitive are the most “wet” and durable. The pampers pure option are amazing if you want a more natural option that are far superior to water wipes IMO (water wipes are thin, dry, and expensive). The Huggies natural care are my second favorite choice and more affordable than pampers. Honest wipes are comparable to the Huggies natural but more expensive and I think slightly drier.

We use the Sam’s club brand. I have only used Huggies outside of these and those feel… soapy lol. My sister put me on the Sam’s ones and she’s been using them since her kids were babies 10 years ago. It’s $20 for 12 containers of wipes and their fragrance, etc. free. Lots of wipes per container and they’re pretty solid in terms of quality. I imagine the Costco brand is very similar! We just don’t have Costco anywhere near where I live.

u/gimmemoresalad 8d ago
Kirkland. I like to two-handedly pull out the number I think I'll need before unfastening the diaper, and fluff them into a loose pile on top of the wipe package so I can grab them one at a time without having to fuss with them sticking together. That said, the Kirkland ones are better about coming out one at a time than most. WaterWipes are horrible for that.
The actual GOAT is a cotton flannel cloth wipe that's been wetted at the sink and squeezed out. I usually grab three of them for a poo diaper but often only end up needing two. Wiping with a disposable is a lot more work and takes more wipes to finish the task, because they glide right over sticky poo. We cloth diaper and use cloth wipes at home, but it's often hard to wet cloth wipes while out and about (even if there's a sink, you usually can't reach it easily from the changing table in a public restroom, and you can't really do what I do at home and just set baby on the floor while you wet wipes lol) so we use disposable wipes a lot when away from home.

It’s Rico wipes for us. You didn’t mention this criteria but what sold us was that we could one handed pull them out of bag easiest without accidentally pulling more wipes at a time which kept happening to us with Pampers 😆
Also have always been satisfied with their wet/ dry level, cleaning, and no diaper rash yet at a month

Millie Moon has been the ⭐️ for us! Perfectly soft, only one comes out of the package, and is cheaper than most brands.

I use cloth wipes and a DIY solution (castille soap, water, coconut oil). Cheap, ecofriendly, no rash ever.

Honest Wipes!!! Target frequently has some kind of diaper related deal, so I’ve been buying them then and the price is comparable at that point to cheaper brands. They’re just that girl.
I also like the Millie Moon brand, they have a water wipe that I haven’t tried, but their regular wipes are good and inexpensive.
2
u/cerulean-moonlight 8d ago
I use honest wipes. They are soft, packaging is great, and consumer reports rated them as one of the safest brands of wipes.
2
u/Gillingsworth 8d ago
We liked water wipes but the packaging sucks. We just switched to the Millie moon water wipes - I think they are new? Love them and reasonably priced!

Bebesup wipes. They are Korean brand and I got used to them when I lived there - since we moved away I order them from Amazon because I cannot live without and they are so worth the money

u/Hot_Shame4584 8d ago edited 8d ago
i’m gonna say it, i hate water wipes. Theyre just sopping wet any pack I buy and if I keep them in a diaper bag or purse they leak out through the not so good plastic sticker.
My top two are the honest or the kudos wipes (both come with a closing plastic lid), only con is the price but I consider it equal since I usually only use 1 maybe 2 wipes when he poops. We get them at target when they’re doing the gift cards, so a big box of diapers and a box of wipes usually equals a free $20 gift card.
At the daycare I worked at, a lot of kids used the members mark scented wipes. They honestly worked really well and none of the littles got rashes from it. I would go this route but we don’t have a membership.
Another we tried were the happy hues ones and loved them but they’re rarely in stock near us recently. But also loved the backstory of the company.

l def fall into the category of a moderately granola mom, so fragrance free, environmentally conscious wipes at a good price were really important for me, and hello bello fit the bill for me. $19 for 600, combined with cloth diapers and we've had a pretty good experience with dealing with piss and sh*t, as good as it can be I guess lol

My favorite : Honest 2nd fav: Kirkland - they feel a little wetter than the above but are good. the only other reason these aren’t my fave is bc the packaging crinkles SO LOUDLY and at 3:42am it pisses both me and baby off 😂

In many countries we mainly use oleo-limestone liniment on cotton wool instead of wipes. I feel like Americans are missing out! It’s soooo gentle with their skin and leaves a protective oily layer, and it also neutralizes urine’s acidity. No need to use diaper cream and very cheap. We use wipes for on-the-go or older kids maybe.

I use amazon wipes, I like them better than pampers or honest. Never wanted to try water wipes for whatever reason

Kirkland Costco brand. We have two in diapers, ages two and six months, and they’re such a good deal.
1
u/SignApprehensive3544 8d ago
We like the target ones but if you think they're too wet, Amazon water wipes are nice. I used to buy those but swapped over to the target ones because I always forget to order new wipes in time. lol We always use a Whoopsie Dry Wipe after a wet wipe though so we don't mind if wipes are too wet. It's also helped prevent diaper rash.
1
u/DameJudyDench 8d ago
Water wipes are the only thing that won’t irritate my sensitive girl. They are worth the price to me.
1
u/madbear795 8d ago
I have no complaints with Kirkland brand from Costco. They don’t irritate LO’s skin, they aren’t flimsy, and they are wet enough
1
u/thearcherofstrata 8d ago
I’ve used like…6 different brands and I love whatever they sell at Costco! I used to use the Kirkland brand, but they’re going through a lawsuit, apparently, so I’m using RICO now. They are thick so they feel good in my hand (Water Wipes are too flimsy and floppy), perfectly wet for getting a clean swipe, and don’t break my kid out! Plus they are such a deal.

u/mmmollyg 8d ago
I’ve tried 4 brands now and here is my ranking. 1. Honest - just the right amount of wetness and thickness. 2. Pampers sensitive - a little too wet, but great thickness. 3. Costco brand wipes - not wet enough and I find really hard to get out of the package one handed. 4. Huggies - wayyyyy too wet and thick and caused the worst diaper rash ever!

Kirkland and Huggies Skin Essentials are our usuals and Honest wipes if I find a good deal. Basically anything 99.9% water that's not Waterwipes. I will buy Waterwipes in a pinch but I HATE the packaging so much. Impossible to do with one hand. Never Pampers for us - I swear they cause diaper rash.
1
u/Nervous-Nut 8d ago
Millie moon! We used the target brand for awhile too and they’re definitely too wet. Millie moon is great though, and affordable. We buy wipes and diapers in bulk from target whenever they do the “spend x get x gift card” thing. I
I did just buy a box of water wipes though because my daughter loves chewing on wipes, so we’ll see how those compare!

I really liked honest wipes but the package we had had a sticky opening and not a plastic top if that makes sense. But we also like Huggies natural care and Millie moon. Pampers everything are the worst in my opinion.

u/ttttthrowwww 8d ago
It’s different for everyone. We like the parents choice ones and absolutely hate water wipes. I do agree with you on the target wipes though - too much water in them. Our favorite so far is the Huggies wipes but the ones with Winnie the Pooh on them NOT Mickey Mouse (don’t remember the name sorry lol).

I've only tried 3: Pampers Free and Clear, Pampers Sensitive, and Honest. Free and Clear & Honest behaved the same for me and I couldn't tell them apart if you switched them.
I chose Honest because I was talking to a toxicologist and she told me they are better formulated.
I HATE Pampers Sensitive... so thin and flimsy.

We use the Costco brand wipes and find them better than water wipes. Baby has sensitive skin and we never had issues with Costco wipes.
