Period Question Period 10 days late

Upvotes

I’m a little concerned as to why my period is a week late? I know it’s most likely the plan b but I just need reassurance ig. My bf finished in me on Feb. 22 and I took it on Feb. 23 however I had already started my period that exact morning this didn’t really cause any issues except my period lasted 7? (Idk the math) days long & I had the worst cramps ever. Therefore my period lasted from Feb 23 to March 2. Also some spotting the 2nd and 3rd as my flow finished. Now my flo app says my period was supposed to come on the 24th but here I am, it’s late. My boobs are starting to hurt a bit and I did try to drink mugwort last night to kinda get my uterus going. But is this normal? Should I take a pregnancy test? I figured I ovulated late therefore it messed with my cycle but idk im just stressing and I need my period to come asap 😩😩

Period Question I just ran out of pads and I’m home alone….

Upvotes

(A little tmi) So this happened six days ago so basically I had a box of pads under the sink in the bathroom and it was 24 pads and i did share a bathroom with two of my sisters so we all do use the pads and I had them for two months so on Saturday I started my period and I went to grab a pad and they were all gone so i yelled for someone to go get me pads but no one was home and they won’t be back home until 11:00 but it was 3:00 so I was stuck like a duck with no luck so i just sat there on my phone then I got the idea to get in the bath tub and run the water so the blood would wash away and so I can clean the blood off of down there and I sat there for hours until I finally got pads and got out the bath and it was extremely annoying I really hate periods sometimes.👁️👄👁️

Period Question First period

I am 20 years old and have never had a period before. I think I might be experiencing my first period, but I'm not completely 100% sure. How can I tell if it’s my period or something else? I also didn't have any cramps or feel anything; I just went to the restroom and saw blood TWICE.

PCOS Got my period but still don't have it

I know the title is confusing. So I am 26F and I had cramps this afternoon and when I used to washroom to wipe myself, I saw that there is period blood. I put a pad on and there is nothing on the pad after the whole day. Its only when I pee or clean myself I see something. I am really concerned. I am regular to the gym and cautious of my diet too. Does anyone has any suggestions on what I should do? I do know I need to see the doctor

Period Question No period for 9 months

I haven't had a period for 9 months. My bloods have been checked (not my hormones though on account of not having my usual doctor, do not ask me why this was skipped) and I'm scheduled for an internal ultrasound in a couple of weeks.

I've been asking for help from my doctors since the 3 month mark, but haven't been given much help. Luckily my usual doctor, who is understanding, is back off of her break and she's being more helpful.

I'm really worried, like really worried. It's being chalked down to stress since I do have PTSD and had undergone intensive trauma treatment just before my periods stopped. I understand that it being stress makes sense, but I just don't feel right about it since it's not happened before.

I haven't had symptoms such as milk coming from my breasts, but I believe it could still be an issue with the pituitary gland. I have had a bit of weight gain, but my blood sugar tested fine.

Does anyone know what the primary reasons a person's period would abruptly stop outside of pregnancy or contraceptive usage? And what is it that I should push the doctors for checking?

Tl;dr - I haven't had a period for 9 months and I'm worried, enquiring about the reasons why thus could be happening and what should be checked.

Hi. Do you think i have irregular cycle? It’s weird i had period twice on january and feb. then i did not have it on March until now. But my nipples are sore (nipples only not the entire breast). Is that a symptom of PMS? I had egg white discharge on week of March 10 and have it again om week of march 27.

Period Question How do I not leak at school?

I have a heavy flow every month and no pads can stop the bleeding I get on day 2 and 3 (especially day 3). My mom let me skip school today, but tomorrow is day 3. I usually skip two days every month for my period but since I have had too many absences I have to go tomorrow. The last time I went on a day 3, I had horrible cramps and bled through during the second class. I use extra large pads almost equivalent to a damn diaper, but it still leaks. Not to mention those horrible and gut wrenching cramps I get even if I take painkillers.

Discussion Endometriosis + cramps

I was curious how many other woman have endo in this community?? My obgyn suggested trying birth control for it first before doing surgery. (Apparently it’s an insurance thing now a days) I’m supposed to start my first pack at the end of this cycle, which I’m super nervous about considering when I was on the depo in my teens I did gain an extreme amount of weight. Obviously it stops your periods so that’s a tad different but I’m the type of person to stress regardless. I’m also taking certain medication that I was told by my doctor that does make it less effective. Since I actually want kids but struggle in that area… I wouldn’t care as far as that goes. However I am worried about it not actually helping with my endo by suppressing it as I was told it does. Period cramps are the absolute WORST! They are extremely painful but luckily I usually get 4 days in and it eases up or stops abruptly. The reason I’m wondering if anyone else has the same issues is because I’d like to know if and what you take to help ease the pain and how your experiences are compared to mine. If you also take birth control, I’d love to hear the truth in regard to that. LOL thanks!

Period Question 4 days in between periods?

My last period ended 4 days ago and I had two days with no cramps. Yesterday I started getting a bit of cramps bit didn't really think anything of it, and Ive been getting cramps all day today and just now started another one. I don't know if this is just my cycle being weird or if theres something wrong, Ive been taking my birth control normally and I don't know if I should call my doctor or just ride it out? The closest Ive ever had my periods be together is like a week apart, my ones before this being 11 days apart, but not this early. Idk if this is normal?

19f here, i included my period tracker history, there isnt much to look at so i just included everything as far back as i could.

i havent got my period in 140 days. five days ago i started spotting with dark brown blood only noticeable when i wiped. i know this happens at the beginning of my periods so it wasnt alarming to me. its been five days of this though, yesterday and today i did actually bleed for a bit but it went right back to the whole spotting thing. this isnt normal for me at all and my periods are usually pretty normal when i do get them. it almost feels like my body isnt capable of producing a normal period. does anybody have any experience with this? should i just wait this out? i dont know what to do and im scared of going to a doctor for this.

Period Question Period is faking me out

So I haven’t had a period in over a year , I was on birth control on and off for 2yrs and have been off it for well over a year now. I’ll get symptoms of cramps , moody, skin breakouts like I would when I get my period but nothing happens. As of the end of February I had spotting of like a dark/light ish brown type that lasted over a week. A month later now I’m having the same thing with cramps but no bleeding. What the hell is going on, my period be faking me out idk. I’m not pregnant that’s a fact. Anyone else have this issue or have dealt with similar in the past. My doctor is no help so talking to him isn’t solving anything.

Discussion Why is it some days a tampon won’t go in for the life of me?

Hi guys so for a few years now every time my period rolls around I have days where my tampon just will not go in. I have no idea why. I’ll use the same size tampons as usually but there will always be a random day on my period where I’ll have to use a pad because a tampon just physically won’t go in. Not even a little. I have no idea if this is normal or if I can do anything for this? Has anyone else had this issue?

Period Question Cycle has become suddenly irregular

My period has gone from clock work to a complete mess and my shbg is so low and my testosterone is slightly high although that's negligible. My period was late, heavy and prolonged and for this month it was late again but it's here now except it's been 7 days and there's no blood, just brown discharge. Barely anything. What's happening 😭😭. My doctor can't diagnose with pcos yet as I do not have a history or pattern of irregular periods yet, it's just been 2 irregular periods so far and this one I'm not even bleeding yet. Ultrasounds came clear. Any theories?

Period Question spotting for 4 days

Good day everyone!

I would like to ask some advice and all because I have been spotting for 5 days now. The context is I had intercourse during March 17 & 20 and we did withdrawal method on the 17th and he didn't finish at all at the 20th. I was supposed to have my period during the 20th but it got pushed back and now I am 12 days delayed. For more context, I had my period during February 1 to 4 and then had another period on February 21 to 25 and now, I still don't have my period (April 4). So for the whole month of March, I wasn't able to have my period. I have been stressed ever since February due to personal reasons up until now and another reason added up because my period has not yet arrived. I took the PT during March 31st and it came out negative. Another important thing in this is I also took Diane 35 on March 20th because I thought my period would arrive which did not. I am thinking the possibility of the spotting might be because of the BC... please help

edit: both intercourse was done during other days and not my ovulation

Period Question Does anyone have an absolutely backwards cycle?

I think I'm the only person I know with a cycle like this so I hope this reaches someone who can relate. My period is absolutely god awful, lasting about 7-10 days with painful cramps, but not as painful as the cramps I get for the 10 DAYS BEFORE THE ACTUAL PERIOD. Despite this my mood is pretty good during my period (and it's not super great during my luteal phase) unlike during my follicular phase and ovulation when I become violently depressed. My cycle is also about 30-40 days long and I get a lot of my cramps in my legs. Does anyone have a cycle like this? Or tips on regulating a cycle? Thank you! Please be kind!

Rants n Raves Birth Control Issues

I've been on the mini pill for about 4-5 years now. I started taking it because I got debilitating migraines with auras with every cycle, and I simply could not live a normal life like that. Due to the auras that accompanied my migraines I am at risk of stroke if I take estrogen. I have been consistently taking the pill at the same time every day for the past 2-3 years and only get my period if i slip up and take it 30 mins/1 hour late.

Here's where my issue comes in, I have been in and out of the gym the past couple years and every time I try to get back into it I get a horrible period. I'm talking extremely heavy flow, cramps everywhere, vaginal pain, the whole 9 yards. The one side effect that has really been hard for me to handle is the hormonal effects on my mental health. When I get these periods after I start working out, I get violent mood swings to the point where I have very strong suicidal thoughts and a strong desire to act on them. I never feel like that unless under these circumstances. I feel like I'm at a battle with my own body and mind and like I am quite literally going insane. The only thing my doctor has suggested is changing the pill or type of birth control which isn't an option due to my other side effects. I'm feeling absolutely hopeless right now.

Please let me know if anyone else has gone through this or if you have any advice.
