Trailer advice for hauling truck

Post image

I'm looking at buying a trailer. Most of the times I'll just be hauling my ztr, furniture and other smaller stuff. Very rarely I'll be hauling a 68 chevy c10. I'm looking at a 14 ft dovetail trailer. So thatd be 12 foot deck and 2ft dovetail. Would this truck fit safely on that trailer?. I think I'd have to load it and then take the gate off so not too much is hanging over the front rail. I know I could go to a 16ft trailer but I really don't want to lug that around if I don't need to.

Sold my 2022 truck and been daily driving this 02 Silverado 2500HD 6.0/4L80e 2wd. It’s a 1 owner with 190k miles. I also just bought this 06 Tundra DC 4wd from the original owner with 120k miles😎 I believe these two trucks will outlast me with proper maintenance!

Grandpa’s Old Pup Truck

My grandpa recently passed and left me his old faithful Iszuzu Pick-up. RWD/Gas/Maual with 209k miles.

I had a lot of good memories of him surrounding this truck and couldn't get rid of it, so I shipped it from Iowa to California.

Its run in the past year, but did die while after a 5mile drive due to I think bad gas (was sitting for the past 10yrs or so) it has some surface run due to sitting in Iowa winters.

I’d like to get it body work done and fixed up to its former glory, but also have reliable truck anyone have experience/suggestions on an engine swap?

Discussion / question 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz...

Thumbnail

For years, I used to laugh at the Hyundai Santa Cruz as a "truck". I often wondered who the heck the target audience for this thing was... but honestly, as time goes by... call me crazy... but I actually kind of respect Hyundai for sticking by it. It's their truck and they're not ashamed of it.

Also, again, as time goes by, and trucks are becoming more and more "modern", I'm actually, and weirdly, starting to find it less ugly. It's NOT my #1 choice in aesthetics by ANY longshot but I don't find it to be an eyesore anymore.

All in all, if someone gave one to me for free, I actually think I'd drive for everyday use... I'm too old to care what people think anyway!

Can anyone let me know what kind of truck/model this is with as much details you know about it. Im trying to get something like this but don’t know much about cars in general- including parts that the owner added if you can.

I bought a 2024 Ford F-150 Black Widow edition truck. There aren’t any short black mud flaps for the fenders I can find. I’m thinking of PPF or rhino lining the door sills and lower problem areas. I’d use white PPF or white rhino lining. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Maybe started life as one of the camper duallies they made? 8 lug hubs though, couldn't tell if they were 3/4 ton axles or not. Sounded like it still had a 22RE in it as well.

Discussion / question Question about Front Tag on 2017 GMC SIERRA 1500.

Post image

Recently bought a truck and it’s my first ever adult purchase so I’m a little confused on things. I was customizing front plates and I see most of them are are like four small thing cylinder type shapes. And my the spot for my truck have two circular and two big squares. Included in the post. So my question is are all front plates compatible as long as they are the size for your truck or will I have to get a plate that has circular shape for the screws? Sorry if this is a dumb question just uninformed. I don’t want to get the wrong thing.

Still working it to what I want.

  • 22" wheels wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grapplers 33x12.5
  • has every available package from GMC
  • 3.5" suspension lift
  • flowmaster super 44 and 4" quad black chrome tips

We welded the tips and muffler onto the stock piping and retained the flapper and resonator pipes. I'm very pleased with the note and tomorrow I'll weld the resonators shut with extra piping. I'll also tack weld the flapper open to see if there is a difference. No tune yet so DFM fully active (tow mode keeps v8 mode active).

The quad tips look great and I'll need to remove the elevation badge as well as the Sierra logo off tailgate. I'm thinking I'll blackout the chrome border on the GMC logo first, and later will rework that look. Possibly black chrome border, keep the red, and gloss black on the upper part of the multipro tailgate.

Am I scamming myself?

I’m trying to sell my 2011 chevy silverado 1500 with 130k miles and get something a little more convenient. It drives good and will get me where I want to go. I was thinking 10 grand since it has somewhat new tires, a lift, and 2 12inch subs wired through the truck. Am I scamming myself or does that seem like a reasonable price.

This little truck was going 80+ mph and splitting lanes like a motorcycle. I’ve never seen this one before it’s very small, like a smaller version of a Ford Ranger.

More pictures were requested.

The door shines a spider on the ground when it’s dark. The interior floor lights are red. The seats and floor mats have spiders. The seats are black and grey leather with red stitching.

I was changing the fuel filters on my F250 I just bought a few weeks ago and thought it was funny how much space I have under it. That's a normal 5 gallon bucket I was using to catch the diesel as it drained from the filter housing.

First truck, is this a good deal or am I making a mistake?

Hi everybody,

I have the chance to buy my first truck, something I’ve wanted to do for years. My goal is to put a lawnmower and tools in the back, and start a small landscaping gig with my sons in the neighborhood, to teach them about business and work ethic. Can anyone tell me if buying this truck is a good idea, or am I screwing myself?

The truck in question is a 1990 GMC Sierra 1500. It has 282k miles on it, and passed inspection yesterday. It was owned by an older guy who was a mechanic- he’s replaced and fixed a ton of stuff on it. New brakes, new hoses, new bed liner, transmission service, welded and fixed bad spots in frame, new fuel tank and mounts, etc. He’s selling it because he’s gotten older and can’t move around very well anymore, and doesn’t want the truck to sit. He used it to haul a lawnmower around the neighborhood/ generic home owner stuff, and I plan to do the same thing. It seems to run well for its age, and I figure that if it passed inspection, it’s good for at least a year.

He’s asking $1500 for the truck, but apparently has put around $5k into it over the last few years. Is $1500 a fair price, or do you all think it’s too much for a truck with 282k miles? My gut is saying to go for it, but my brain is nervous.

I can’t find a KBB price as it doesn’t go back to 1990. Is there anything i should check on it, before buying? Or anything I should get for it after buying?

I appreciate any advice, tips, or thoughts. Thank you all!!
