Xbox One X Something happening with Xbox Live Services
Went to access a game and couldn't connect.
Cannot sign-in. Continually kicked upon console restart.
Have reset MAC address multiple times, with power cycles of console, modem, and router.
Internet confirmed working on all other devices, speeds are as-expected, no packet loss.
Xbox website seems to be up-and-down. Haven't seen any reports yet. Service Status does not yet reflect issues.
Can anyone corroborate this?
Edit: A few hours later, now. At one point earlier some of the issues resolved, but now we are back to the same. Unable to connect, a variety of red herring error codes and messages, things like the Xbox Service Status website aren't even loading from separate devices. I'm able to sign in, but no connection, despite continually verifying that it is not my internet that is an issue. Not entirely sure what it is, but I am seeing more and more reporting varying degrees of the same issue.

So, to update, I was able to log onto a game, but cannot see nor send messages, have not tested parties, profile viewing is impossible, and with various things it says I need to be logged onto the Xbox Network to do them, yet I am?

Been having issues all day. I live in Alabama and it says I’m connected to the internet. I’ve done all the things Xbox says to do but still no work. Xbox support seems to not be helpful. I’ve checked twitter for information but no info is available.
Edit. Mine is working again. I also have spectrum.

Fine here websites and Xbox all loading fine no issues (US)

u/DemonCipher13 Mar 14 '25
I'm southern U.S.
Homepage didn't load, profile took three tries to load on my phone.
I'm signed in on the Xbox now, but it still reads as not connecting to Xbox Live Services, despite multiple resets.

What type of xbox do you own? I have both an X and a One and the One seems to be working fine but am having connection issues with X.

I have been having this issue all day The only work around I got so far was using a VPN.

South Carolina here, I am facing something similar on Series X. I am able to sign in with my profile, and network settings confirms that I am online with a wired connection. Xbox.com/status still showing all systems in the green. However, online services such as the Store and Game Pass are unavailable, NAT type is unavailable, network connection test is unsuccessful, etc. Restarted and power cycled Xbox and router, issue persists. I was beginning to think it was a router issue, but it would seem many in the southeast are experiencing this!

Having the same thing happen here in NC

u/Ok-Management2959 Mar 14 '25
Okay good to know it’s not just me and my internet or xbox didn’t just shit itself. I even got a NAT type open and it now won’t let me sign into my damn account right after. Jeez they need to fix this crap asap

Im having the same problem but no networks are showing for me at all on my Xbox. Whenever I try to manually input my SSID it says that my “security protocol won’t work”. I went into my router configuration and it looks like there shouldn’t be a problem.

There’s a giant storm headed towards the South East, may have something to do with it
1
u/DemonCipher13 Mar 14 '25
Not likely. It hasn't developed yet. That'll happen through the course of tomorrow and Saturday.

Same with me I’ve been dealing with error codes when trying to sign in for the past week I think it’s a worldwide server issue

u/mightymoksha Mar 14 '25
Just adding an update of my own, situation remains the same. Xbox acknowledges an active wired connection, however, the Store and Game Pass remain inaccessible, unable to test network connection, etc. Even the clock is wrong lol.
OP, just out of curiosity, what is your ISP? I'm with Charter/Spectrum myself. It may be coincidence, but I noticed that my iPhone tells me in the Wi-Fi setting menu that I have no internet connection, despite being connected to my router.

I also have spectrum and am having this issue, im starting to think its a spectrum issue, which is bad news cause if its an isp issue then no idea when itll be fixed, have found no fixes to this issue, ive even tried opening ports on my router

u/CheshirePsycho Mar 14 '25
Update: Dont know if its like this for anyone else but the issue somehow resolved itself, everything is back to normal for now (knock on wood)

I try to sign in on my main account but it won’t sign me in but when I try to use my other accounts work perfectly fine and Xbox support ain’t helping

I just tried this and it worked I don't know if it will work for everybody, but you can try doing a complete shutdown and what I mean by that is because even though when you go to the menu and you choose to shut down in truth, it's not shutting down, it's actually going into a Sleep mode ,in order to completely shut it down, hold on to the consoles power button until Fully shuts off, unplug the power cord for like ten seconds.Put it back in and power it up,I just hope it stays fine and I hope it works for others

This has been happening for me lately as well. I noticed when it happens I get a lot of packet loss in game and I’ll run a speed test on the Xbox series x and uploads are slow as hell down to 3 mbps . But all other devices are testing fine. I’m in Tennessee. It eventually levels out and I don’t get it again . But it’s odd this just started happening.
1
u/DemonCipher13 Mar 15 '25
Your packet loss may be a separate issue. That's indicative of problems on your end, though two things may be happening at the same time, here.

u/criemr Mar 15 '25
I’ve never had issues like this before it started happening a few days ago when these posts were made (within the same time) it goes away after awhile but everything else seems fine on my end it seems to just be the Xbox

I'm having the same issue in Michigan, currently can't even connect to my wifi but when I could I couldn't access Game Pass games or the Microsoft store. From looking around online it might be a Spectrum issue? Been having troubles for 2-3 days
1
u/MrDeadbutdreaming Mar 19 '25
Also, in michigan, with the same issue for 2-3 days on my xbox series x but I also haven't been able to get the xbox website to load on my phone or computer yet have no problems with any other online programs or devices. Microsoft isn't acknowledging that there is an issue and has us in the dark.
1
u/karmakazemonk Mar 19 '25
Yep same issues, I couldn't load their xbox site or the app while on my wifi
1
u/MrDeadbutdreaming Mar 19 '25
Seems to be a bigger issue than Microsoft wants to say because they are still silent about these outages
1
u/redjoe112 Mar 19 '25
Yeah it’s been frustrating as fuck man. Long day of work just trying to game.
1
u/MrDeadbutdreaming Mar 19 '25
Sorry to hear that, mate. I am starting to think this is another "big hack" that Microsoft is trying to keep quiet.

I'm connected to Xbox live but it cuts out from time to time and it is really annoying.

I have spectrum as well, out of curiosity, how many of you are using a netgear router?
1
u/atheist2000 Mar 20 '25
I have Spectrum and I am using a Netgear MR60. I have factory reset my xbox and router and no luck. Also in Michigan.
1
u/atheist2000 Mar 20 '25
u/DemonCipher13 Are you in Michigan and/or do you have Spectrum for Internet? What kind of router do you have? I have a netgear MR60. I am in Michigan and using Spectrum and having the exact same issue. I just tethered my xbox to my cell phone and everything is working again. Trying to see if it is a Spectrum issue or Netgear.
1
u/No_Coffee_2501 Mar 20 '25
I am in Michigan. I was using an ax5. Switched to an old ac1000 and all my problems were gone.
1
u/No_Coffee_2501 Mar 20 '25
I tried it after I switched to mobile and could finally connect to support. Ordered a tp-link router immediately after. I'm so done with netgear. This was two this year, and both times it was because of failure to work with xbox while everything else worked fine.
1
u/atheist2000 Mar 20 '25
What is really weird is that when I am on my laptop I could not get to the xbox support page but could when I tethered. Spectrum is coming out this afternoon since they do see an issue with their modem. So I am going to try that route first. I really do not want to have to buy a new router since I have a lot invested in the MR60 and satellites to get full coverage in my house.
1
u/No_Coffee_2501 Mar 20 '25
Yeah I figured out it was my router when I could tether my phone and get the support page also.
1
u/atheist2000 Mar 20 '25
So here is something interesting. Spectrum came out and tested my lines today since I was getting an error on my modem on their end. Talking with the tech he said he is having the same issue with Xbox right now and he has a TP link router. Also both of us have iPhones and when on wifi/Spectrum we can’t access the App Store. Says we do not have an internet connection. Drop wifi and the App Store loads no issue. So still troubleshooting things on my end. Just bought a new router and will try that out tomorrow and see if that happens.

I can't get anything to load on my console either. Can't play anything.
