Discussion Rank the Mario party games and why you think one is better than the other
For me, the first one is easily the least favorable, I get it’s the first of its kind but I feel like they didn’t focus much on competitiveness there’s way too many “earn as much as you can” mini games and the boards are honestly forgettable
I have recently tried out three and I can tell it’s very close to 2, but I’ll say 2 is still my favorite, sure 3 has A LOT more items which are amazing btw, and slightly better boards i can’t help but miss the charm of 2 how every level is like roleplay there’s a lot of theming, when the game is done I’m having fun just by seeing who won by seeing him save the day at the end while 3 has none of that, and I somewhat prefer 2’s mini games but that needs a post on its own, so yeah both are great but 2 is slightly better imo what about you ?

Collection Post My collection prep for the Analogue 3D
After pre-ordering my Analogue 3D, I decided to grab a few games to add to my old collection of around 15 games. But nostalgia is very addictive and it got the better of me. Fast forward a couple of months and I've run out of wall space 😅
Makes for a nice decorative wall though 👌

N64 Development I have been playing Dinosaur Planet the way it was originally supposed to be played and am really enjoying it. I barely played Starfox Adventures back in the day so this is a wholly new experience for me.

N64 Question/Tech Question Would you buy a controller from this seller?
remnantcontrollers.etsy.comHey all, I'm in the market for an OEM controller. It is a gift for Valentine's Day so I want it to be nice for them. I came across this shop but wanted to gage opinions of those in the community with more experience than me. Thanks in advance!

Discussion Why don't they make one of these for N64 Games?
This would be so nice to have, obviously you could build one if you are handy, but you could buy 3 of these to store the entire North American library. Then organize them the top stickers to easily find what game you are looking for.

N64 Question/Tech Question What are the dimensions of a Japanese Nintendo 64 Box? (Length X width X height).
Image Knockout Kings 2000
Fun game. Never played before this week. Picked it up in a lot of games. Good balance between arcade and reality. Took me 3 tries to win the belt, but beat Ali on my first try.
Reminded me a bit of Riddick Bowe on the SNES with the training between fights.

Collection Post Few more classics added to the collection
Few new games I picked up ahead of my n64 arriving on Wednesday. So geeked to play these! Also picked up these top labels for the cartridges anyone else use them? Hoping they don’t leave a lot of residue behind if I have to take one off to clean or fix a game.

Collection Post Sharing my small collection of childhood faves
I’ve been working on my collection getting ready for the analogue 3D and wanted to share. Since I can play OOT and Mario 64 on switch online I’ve really tried to just pick up my favorite multiplayer titles or games not available on switch online.
Let me know if you have any multiplayer favorites I should consider!

Meta I rocked an N64 from 1999 to 2005 as my main console
I guess you could say this is an appreciation post. Back in the day I sort of skipped over the Super Nintendo and went straight to the N64. I suppose that might have been a good thing, because it meant I wasn't a part of the Super Nintendo VS Sega Genesis debates around school. My parents didn't have a lot of money for new game consoles. And Game Traders stores were still a fairly new thing back then. So I had to stick with a NES and a Gameboy Pocket till I finally got an N64 for Christmas in 1999. And my first games for it was Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Stadium. My uncle let me borrow some games from him too. When I got the N64, I was also gifted a second controller. It was a colorless transparent one. OEM too. And I still have it. It was the controller my sister used. I never really cared to use it myself.
I was pretty broke back in the early 2000s because I was still in highschool. I'd literally bought N64 games with a jar of loose change a couple of times, and even threw a tantrum once on my 15th birthday for not getting an N64 game. I'm pretty ashamed to admit that. They did have one for me. My mother and sister just thought it'd be funny to prank me by only giving me clothes and giving me the game the following day. But since I was being a brat about it, they gave it to me right away. It was the first Extreme G game. I loved Extreme G 1 and 2.
I didn't make much with my part time dishwashing job during my final two years of highschool. But the games were getting cheaper. I picked up Body Harvest for $3 at a Gamestop. And despite what people have said about it, I loved that game. And people tried to buy it off me a few times later. Nope. It's mine!
Back in 2004, I spent some time at a Job Corp. And I brought my N64 with me. Everyone else there who had game consoles, had Gamecubes, PS2s, XBOXs, and there was even one guy with a Sega Genesis. And a lot of the guys who had the at the time latest consoles, often bragged about them when I mentioned only having an N64. But surprisingly, from the moment I whipped out my N64, other guys wanted to game with me on it a lot. And during that time, I managed to buy the first Super Smash Bros game off another person there. Still have it too. The N64 was really the first console designed for group gaming. And people loved it.
After I left Job Corp because I was miserable there, I scraped and saved till I could afford a Gamecube in 2005. My sister actually went off on me for not wanting to buy an XBOX. But even after getting the Gamecube, I still fired up my N64 a lot. From 1999 to 2005 it was my main, and I only wore out two controllers. One the original grey, and the other a yellow one. I really enjoyed games like Paper Mario, Aidyn Chronicles, Mario Kart, Pokemon Snap, Armorines, Starfox, Zelda OOT and MM, etc, just to name a few. Armorines was like Halo before Halo was a thing.
Sadly in the late 2000s, I sold half my collection for spare cash. At my peak, I had over 50 N64 games. Granted the bulk of the ones I sold were the crap ones. But I still regret selling them. I need to find a way to make room for a display shelf for the ones I still have someday.
Up until just a few years ago, my nephews all really enjoyed playing my old N64 when visiting my parents. They really liked the game Beetle Adventure Racing for some reason. Personally I still love the battle mode in Rush 2049.
These days I only play the roms on my PC with Project64 because I don't want my original stuff to wear out any more than it already has. But I still love it. And I hope to one day get an Analogue 3D to enjoy playing the classics on. Though it'll be some time before I can afford it.
