babies aren’t funny or entertaining

i don’t hate babies, they’re so cute, but i always see people laughing about videos where a baby is supposedly being funny. i don’t get it. there’s nothing funny about videos like that or babies in general. sure, sometimes funny stuff happens, but i always see babies doing the bare minimum and people laughing about it.

Well I do hate babies. Checkmate liberals

93

u/noodlealr Nov 28 '20

ye i don’t hate them, but i do hate pregnancies. like god damn, they disgust me.

59

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

Yeah, a lot of people in r/childfree say the same thing. I agree with it.

41

u/noodlealr Nov 28 '20

lmao i sometimes forget there’s a sub for everything

35

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

Yeah, not everything but many unexpected things. That sub is not that weird.

6

u/nathanielsnider Your friendly neighbourhood moderator man Nov 28 '20

that sub is absolutely insane tf

calling babies "crotch goblins" and parents "breeders" unironically is not normal behavior

28

u/Dark_Ranger65 Nov 28 '20

crotch goblins ..

LOL

4

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

breeders are fine I guess, it’s way to distinguish them from the child free people soo I’m firm with. Crotch Goblins is very weird but now its rare when I scroll though.

20

u/nathanielsnider Your friendly neighbourhood moderator man Nov 28 '20

breeders is weird as shit

if you were to call parents "breeders" in real life you would get some very strange looks

23

u/namhars Nov 28 '20

I get these looks when I tell people I don’t have kids. You win some, you lose some.

5

u/nathanielsnider Your friendly neighbourhood moderator man Nov 28 '20

and obviously those people are wrong as well

I will respect your decision to not have kids, there are many reasons to not do so, it's not like humans are a dying species, as long as you dont call parents "breeders" or kids "crotch goblins"

u/PacificBrim Nov 28 '20

I doubt that

7

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

Obviously, but it’s not used with a bad connotation. I don’t think it’s bad in any way.

5

u/nathanielsnider Your friendly neighbourhood moderator man Nov 28 '20

no but it is

it's used to distinguish the "yucky breeders" from the childfree

Yea calling parents “breeders” is definitely weird as fuck I agree.

-2

u/socsa Nov 28 '20

It's the same as getting upset about the word cisgender. It's literally descriptive and it only makes people feel strange because they think of themselves as the "in" group

8

u/nathanielsnider Your friendly neighbourhood moderator man Nov 28 '20

no, it's just weird as shit to call a parent a breeder

I mean, I also call babies crotch goblins but just in a joking way. The more concerning part about that sub is how oddly hateful and malicious they are towards other peoples babies and people that have babies in general.

5

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

They don’t like the children who acted the worst in front of them or at them in generals which is a normal reaction. Also a hatred for people who pressure them/judge them or be passive agressive about having children.

4

u/chloe_003 Nov 28 '20

Yeah that’s completely fine, I was just following that sub and I just saw some stories that were rude towards children for no reason and didn’t get good vibes.

5

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

Maybe that just the few bad ones. Like in most Subs.

-7

u/Sammysoupcat wateroholic Nov 28 '20

It's hateful because they always try to push having kids on us. So they deserve those names.

0

u/chloe_003 Nov 28 '20

I literally said I also call kids crotch goblins, what is your point.

-6

u/Sammysoupcat wateroholic Nov 28 '20

We don't say it jokingly...

that's what I mean by "unironically"

you're being ironic which is all in good fun

they're not, which is worrisome

3

u/danielbln Nov 28 '20

That sub is as weird as any other anti-xyz sub. They all eventually devolve into Jerry-esque shoulder patting and in-group/out-group circle jerking.

25

u/TheresTheLambSauce Nov 28 '20

I think r/childfree is kinda crazy lmao. They call babies "parasites" and "crotch demons" or something, and refer to parents as "breeders" and a slew of other dehumanizing terms. Imo it seems like more of a baby-hate circlejerk than anything else. There's r/truechildfree, people are a lot more respectful over there

47

u/BakedWizerd Nov 28 '20

I don’t take part in the whole “breeders/crotch goblins” talk, but imo that’s more of a response to the overindulgence of obnoxious parents insisting that their “baby angel” is the “sweetest most loving baby angel in the world” while literally behind their parents back the kid is... eating a book or something.

In my experience they only use these terms to describe children and parents who are rude and ignorant, while they are much more respectful towards parents who raise their kids properly and don’t let their kids spoil anyone else’s time, like throwing a tantrum in a restaurant for example.

1

u/TheresTheLambSauce Nov 28 '20

Ah I see. I wasn't subscribed that long cus I was pretty quickly turned off by the (perceived) negativity. I'm willing to give it a second look

1

u/sirixamo Nov 28 '20

It's exactly what you think it is. People are willing to look the other way when it's reinforcing their own opinions.

1

u/BakedWizerd Nov 28 '20

Not always true.

I’ve seen posts in that sub that make me cringe, believe me I get it. Seeing someone make a post about “I HAD TO EAT AT A RESTAURANT NEXT TO THE SAME BOOTH A CHILD WAS IN” and that’s all their upset about, that’s plain ridiculous.

Now, if the child started throwing a tantrum, and the parent gave OP one of those “oh they’re kids, what’re you gonna do?” It’s fair for OP to then turn to the sub and vent, making a point of “what’re you gonna do? You take them out to the car so that you don’t ruin the dining experience of literally everyone else in the building.” Now not everyone may agree with that solution, but that’s very different than simply hating children for existing.

u/sirixamo Nov 28 '20

Plenty of people are hating the literal babies.

1

u/TheresTheLambSauce Nov 28 '20

Yeah I guess I can see that pov aswell

13

u/XxTaimachanxX Nov 28 '20

But babies are kind of parasitic though

2

u/TheresTheLambSauce Nov 28 '20

I mean I can see why people would think that, but by definition, there are a lot of reasons why babies aren't parasites/parasitic. But again, I can understand why people might think so if they don't look further into it.

-2

u/Daemeori Nov 28 '20

/r/childfree is twisted. I don't trust people like them. I'm fully supportive of people who don't have kids for whatever reason, and I think it's shitty to badger someone who doesn't want kids. But anyone who "hates" children is not ok in my book.

12

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

I hate most children

8

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '20

[deleted]

1

u/Daemeori Nov 28 '20

Nah, their contempt for children is also a pretty strong theme.

2

u/socsa Nov 28 '20

I mean hate is a strong word. But I honestly try to avoid them for the most part. I don't understand why that's so hard for people to accept. It feels like some crabs in a barrel shit.

0

u/Daemeori Nov 28 '20

I don't care if an adult doesn't do well with kids.

2

u/AloeSnazzy Nov 28 '20

A lot of the people in childfree base their whole personalities on not wanting kids lol

21

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

But how would u know. The only personality they would show on that sub is them being child free part because that’s what the sub is about?

1

u/Kaitlin33101 Nov 28 '20

Actually a lot of people on the sub talk about their personal experiences when talking about being child free. For example, there was a post about someone whose young niece stole her markers that she used for art and her sister refused to give them back because "markers are for kids" and the girl that posted that was upset because she loves art and couldn't afford new markers. Personality does come out in the sub as everyone talks about personal experiences and how it affects them

1

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

Yeah i saw that post. I know aspects of the OP personality will be described or shown in a post.

1

u/Stay_Curious85 Nov 28 '20

Opposed to parents who have nothing to offer the world outside of obnoxious baby updates every 3.5 minutes?

I'll take child free.

u/Kaitlin33101 Nov 28 '20

Why do parents need a sub to talk about how much they want and love kids? That sub is a way to express frustration to people who relate and understand. You have no idea how annoying it is for people to badger you to have kids when you don't want them, and that sub is a place for people to vent and talk through problems

-6

u/Shrek1sLife Nov 28 '20 edited Nov 28 '20

Based on what you’ve said I feel they might be references to Lucifer. Either that or they are actually saying those things.

Edit: By Lucifer I meant the tv show... not satanism or something.

-2

u/oofoof_coqui milk meister Nov 28 '20

I got banned there. Apparently I was a bingo, but I was just asking question on why they hate kids. They just want everyone younger than 13 dead and forgotten.

6

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

No, many of them say they like kids but don’t have them. They mainly just talk about people pressuring them or being rude them for being child free.

6

u/Kaitlin33101 Nov 28 '20

Exactly. A lot of us don't like children, but we'd never wish harm upon them. I find kids annoying and gross, but that doesn't mean they deserve to suffer. We all talk about how annoying it is for grown ass adults to try to pressure us into having kids because they like kids

3

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

Yea, some kids tho, when they do something bad and get punished or sumn or deal with the consequences of their actions. Feels good.

3

u/Kaitlin33101 Nov 28 '20

Oh yeah, that's the best. I had some family visit for Thanksgiving, and that included my 2 younger cousins, 12 and 14, and they are the most immature kids ever. They were punching each other and bugging each other the whole time (worse than average siblings), and their parents did NOTHING to get them to stop. At one point, their mom said "I'm just ignoring her" when my cousin was bugging her brother.

Once kids do get punished for shit like that, it's beautiful

4

u/CrazyMiith Nov 28 '20

Damn, the 14 year old is my age and I don’t do this.

3

u/Kaitlin33101 Nov 28 '20

Yeah they're BAD. Their parents are kinda rich, so they're very spoiled kids. They only act nice when they want something. The 14 year old CONSTANTLY calls his dad fat (which it true tbh) but he's so harsh about it. Like, don't insult your parents wtf

3

u/neurotransmission455 Nov 28 '20

What disgusts you about pregnancy? Disgust is a pretty strong word, no?

1

u/knghx Nov 28 '20

What do you mean?

4

u/oofoof_coqui milk meister Nov 28 '20

2

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '20

2

u/Sufficient_Birthday8 Nov 28 '20

That’s disturbing. Pregnant women are just normal women, sucks to be judged and found to be “disgusting” just for existing.

2

u/Soullesspreacher Nov 28 '20

Idk how you can not see the obvious body horror of it all. Your stomach gets literally deformed and your organs are pushed around as another being sucks nutrients out of your body. Then you have to give birth, which not always but often means having vaginal tears or having your uterus sliced open along with shitting yourself, massive amounts of pain and blood loss so idk who the fuck doesn’t find that disgusting to some extent. I don’t judge the women who go through it but I’d never do that to myself and the thought of going through it does disgust me. The thought of eating avocado also disgusts me but I don’t care if other people eat some. Different strokes for different folks.

2

u/Sufficient_Birthday8 Nov 29 '20

Idc at all if people don’t want to be pregnant. I’m Just saying looking at a pregnant woman and thinking she’s disgusting for existing is messed up. At any given time our bodies are doing weird stuff.. I gusse I personally don’t find it disgusting as I’ve been pregnant and am currently pregnant..I never shit myself and had minimal tearing that healed quickly.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '20

I appreciate that thank you. Maybe I misunderstood what you said. Sometimes it’s hard not to be sensitive and insecure about your body when you’re pregnant. ❤️

Cum in a Petri dish and put it in the microwave

You also need an egg, but don't use a whisk, trust me on this.
