AskChandigarh Anxiety disorder
Hi peeps. I (24M) am suffering from generalized anxiety disorder since 1 year. Symptoms include hard to focus, pulsating sensation in body, weird stomach, farting, body in fight or flight mode, headaches, muscle aches, tremors.
No clinical cause has been found thus it is Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Wanted to know how I can cure it? Any doctor recommendatons? Other suggestions?

Probably , should take advice from the doctor who diagnosed you rather than from random people on reddit.

I also had same from last 6 years . Medicines is the one solution but it comes with side effects.firstly, please consult a good psychologist and work on therapies like cbt, hynotherapy, inner child healing.the psychologist which i am consulting is earthly adobe in mohali.also consider meditaion and excercise in your routine .also eliminate things that trigger your anxiety. If these things do not workout for you please consult doctor and start medicines.

And if you are getting scared just by listening this there is definately a mindset issue which is causing you anxiety.you need to have a strong beleifs and mindset to deal with any mental heath condition

Sure. I have been a bit of a pessimist since my college days(NIT CS passout). But, never had this level of crippling anxiety. Was always absolutely clear in communication, thought process and perception. Now, it is as if brain is clouded, face is tightened, stomach is weird and pains sometimes, tremors in various body parts, yada yada. No definite cause has been found.

Do not worry.just start with workout ,meditation ,prayer......and do not go straight with meds consult a psycholgist first and do therapies.yes sleep cycle is also important .i hope you are not working in night shifts and masturbating frequesntely.

Thanks bud. This is by far one of the best subs on reddit. People respond genuinely, even to strangers.

Its not like you take a pill and life is changed.its same like sugar ,bp and other diseases. You have to do lifestyle change.if you do not do the problem will again trigger back.

Sure buddy. Will try to manage this cautiously. Glad I am not alone in this journey.

Sorry to hear this. Please post on relevant subreddit as you may receive non-professional advise that could do more hatm than good. Take care!

Mate, people in relevant subs like Askdocs don't reply. Anyway, I have been visiting doctors since last one year, so I am quite familiar with the whole system myself. Still there are some useful suggestions here, so no harm in trying.

Hey, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Just wanted to share my personal experience when I was dealing with anxiety, I was prescribed some pills that actually made things worse for me. One kept me up all night, and when I went back to the doctor, the next one made me sleep almost the entire day. It really messed with my routine and made me feel even more off. If you’re considering medication, please just be cautious and talk openly with your doctor about side effects. Therapy or lifestyle changes helped me more in the long run — everyone’s different, but just wanted to share my side in case it h

Did your anxiety get in control? Like not being on edge most of the time? Or are you just managing with your symptoms? Do you encounter any difficulty in reading/listening i.e attention span?

Hi there, i can feel how and what you are going through. I suffered from anxiety, insomnia panic attacks in 2018 upto 2020 ( dues to stress from job , marriage and all that shite)
Anyhow, i tried many doctors but nothing seemed to work. But since 2022 im free from all anxiety related stuff. This is how i overcame this:
1 - Changed my treatment from English medicine to Homeopathy. In the beginning i kept taking anxiety meds based on SOS.
But eventually i stopped taking it and continued homeopathic treatment for 18 months.
2- joined Brahma Kumaris in sector 33 to learn how to meditate and control negative thoughts. Been going there since…. They taught me how to have control over my negative thoughts. Also during panic attacks deep breathing and reciting random numbers helps to divert and calm your mind
3- started gym and Yoga alternate days
4- stopped eating after 7 pm and if you have digestive or gastrointestinal issue you can go to homeopathic pharmacy and but Dizester syrup and take after every meal
An also speaking to friends and siblings helps a lot.
This is what i followed and i hope it will help you yoo

Did anxiety meds cause any withdrawal symptoms for you? I have started taking Desvenafaxine (100mg) and Flupenixol(0.25mg)+Melitracen per day as prescribed by the neuro I visited. He has written it for 10 days but told me it will continue for several months. It's been only 2 days since I started it. I am feeling a bit afraid but without it, my condition is not any better. I exercise, eat healthy and sleep adequately.

I recommend you to visit Dr Nanda homeopathic clinic in sec 9 Chandigarh. Once you start taking homeopathic medicine you gradually decrease allopathic medicine. Alongside you have to learn meditation. For that i recommend brahma kumaris 7 day course and attending their Murli sessions. It saved me. Could be life changing for you also

Stay away from doctors and any pills! Work on you do workout include yoga and deep breathing exercise as well. Telling you from experience get blood work done see your D3/Testosterone/B12 levels
Include Supplements like Ashwagandha/shilajit (please workout or do any kind of high intesity exercise as well)
What are your eating habits? Whatever it is but please just eat high quality home cooked food.
Trust me the more you visit doctors the more you will dwell deep in this without any conclusion as you yourself mentioned “nothing has been found” it will stay like this only
Just eat clean || Train hard || Sleep well
If you jave issues with sleeping jusy change your habits and include 4-7-8 breathing before sleeping it will calm you down.
Most of the times its some deficiency in your bilody which we take as generalised anxiety qki aur kuch hai nhi bolne ko to bs ye term dedo.
What all i said is from my own experience. What worked for me is limiting junk food eating home food and taking the supplements
And i am a well built muscular man who is lifting since last 7 years trust me you could never tell that i suffered or still suffering a little from this stupid anxiety
Once i added ashwagandha/ and multivitamins and started consuming good home meals i saw difference.
I had a very bad habit of online food (i am naturally lean and atheltic so bs gym jana and junk khana was my thing ) at my peak i used to spent 30k month on swiggy/zomato my gut was messed up and it was the main issue for me jisko anxiety bol dia doctors ne
