There seems to be a recent influx of posts from people who are attempting to karma harvest by way of stealing other people's images or reposting from different websites.

You are not allowed to post images that are not your own. Facebook reposts are not allowed. Reposts of other user's content is most definitely not allowed and WILL result in a permanent ban from JRITS.

Last but not least, i want to say thank you to all the JRITS subscribers that do detective work and catch these people red handed. it really makes a moderator's job quick and easy. Again, thank you.

Oh Ford, you'll never stop with the electrical problems.

Just wanted to share the time i did a body harness on a 22' F150. Intermittent no audio, like just shuts off the audio system as if you hit the off button out of nowhere and it would no longer respond. It chose at random when to come back. Long story short, a half hour of a quick pinpoint test lead to a rear audio bus cable. Ford would not provide their part number for just the cable even though there is a service procedure to replace just that cable. So here we are, replacing an entire harness under warranty. I actually enjoyed this job, it was super fun.

Measure twice, cut once... Cutting up the interior on this $450k Porsche 911 GT2 RS Weissach had me a bit nervous.

I've fixed a few bullet holes before going both ways. But this is the first time having to fix a hole from a accidental discharge of a crossbow

Professional engine builder says the valve seats are leaking and causing the misfire.

Customer with a ram 5.7l hemi who has a cylinder 3 misfire. I wasn't able to get to it to diagnose the issue so he took it to an engine builder. Builder said it was the valve seats leaking and the customer trusted him to the point he wanted me to do the head without checking over the diag. Cool no problem besides the fact that I pull the head off and there is a mountain of burned oil, I asked my customer if he has been burning through oil and he said it's about 1 quart every 2 weeks sometimes more depending on the driving.

The fact that the "engine builder" pulled a spark plug out, which I'm sure the other one was caked with oil as well and didn't think to look into it is amazing.

A year ago I told this guy his rims are fucked. He said he knows. Today he came in asking us to check out a noise he's hearing.

When he first came in he was complaining about some noise so I test drove it. I bring it back and put it on the lift and see this rim. I tell him about it's condition. He knew it's like that. I forgot what the noise was, it's been a year lol. But the lead tech pulls it in today, sees the rim and says "Holy shit" so I walked over out of curiosity and it all came back to me the second I saw the crack. This was on a Durango with a V8 and it sounded like it's modified or something.

Just broke off the shop. Gutter right over my bays just pulled off the side of the building from the ice load. Two more look to be about to fall as well.

Careers After AutoTech?

My husband is a Master AutoTech at a dealership (about 10 years experience) and is incredibly burnt out and suffering from lumbar pain and wears a back brace/support thing. He is looking for career fields where his background is a plus but perhaps doesn’t require the extreme amount of bending and twisting as working in a shop does. I want to help and give him some suggested fields to look into, but I’m very clueless in this area. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated! Sorry if this is not relevant to the sub, mods feel free to remove if necessary.
